While I was navigating google I came to the IQtest.dk website where anyone can apply for a test to have his/her IQ tested.

This is not an academic test rather for the public domain. The correct answers are not publicly posted at the end of the test.

I took the test, and my IQ was evaluated to 110, which is above average.

I could recommend to anyone out there to try the test just to have fun or relax. The test was not intended to reflect how well or bad one fares in academic performance.

Although this IQ test is Fun and entertaining, this IQ test does not really reflects you real IQ, the IQ test officially used by psychologist as the real measurer for Intelligence Quotient are IQ tests like Stanford Binet and Raven's Progressive Matrices.

This Web IQ, what it really does is misinform you about the IQ, a Normal person with his IQ in between 80 and 110 will always have a above average score, If you really want to now your true IQ, you can go to a Student Counselor or a School/Child Psychologist, this people should have the tool to give you the correct IQ test.

I got 104

Guido is on a higher scale. BTW there is a peak at 110. Before, you're considered normal and further, above. So 110 makes you normal above. Not above normal.. ><

Seems like I got brain dammage doing this test.

I managed a 118 here, now in high school testing for placement and career choice, I usually scored around 127. Maybe the last 25 years has been hard on the old gray matter.
Just goes to show you these tests are not that accurate.

If they were I should have been getting better grades.

I got a 122, though a few (especially the last 3) ones were really meh and I just used instinct to choose, waha.
And I was supposed to listen to an album so I could handpick some good tracks. I just missed the whole CD trying to solve those problems. ><

Haha, I got 100 on this, but I've been tested with a psychologist before and in those tests I got 138. So I dunno which is right!

But my strongest score was on verbal and reading comprehension areas, and there's none of that here. It was only like, pattern identification. Not a really good way to determine intelligence, IMO. After all, someone can be horrible in English, but excell in Math, right?

This IS a variation of Raven's Progressive Matrices.. but how standardized it is, I have no idea. They may be too harsh, or too soft; or it might have a strong correlation with formal tests such that it constitutes a good substitute for a formal test.

I wish they would give the answers, because I have no idea how to do the ones I didn't understand. I had 140.

I think the timing factor should play a more important role. I had 104 in total but I finished with 20 minutes left on the counter. Seems like it wasn't much of a time challenge and rapidity to anser.. I admit I made some decisions quickly but some questions were also pretty easy to anser. Like if I took all of the time I could've possibly get a diffrent result. BTW I'm not trying to prove I'm not stupid cause I know I'm not a genious. I just don't feel like this test is getting all of our IQ potential out. Any thoughts?
