He also relied way too much on his equipment and not his skills

He probably has a "tragic origin story" to explain his hatred for monsters.
Maybe something aloong the lines of "monster eradicated whole village leaving Mirror as the only survivor".
Some people in that situation become "noble" heroes... Mirror became a Dragon Quest version of "the Punisher" who only lives to kill monsters not caring about anything else.

(And then the author will drop the "twist" that everything never really was the fault of the monsters, but the fault of th empire Mirror works as hero for. Just because for the sake of twisting the plot...)

No sort of tragic backstory excuse the fact that he had no qualms about stabbing a kid to get to a demon.

Well, I'm sure Mirror had a reason why he thought something like that was completely acceptable, even if it was just a ploy by the author to make us hate him as an antagonist.

just discovered this novel and it's translations and i fell in love with it, damn this kinda of light-hearted novel is really great to heal someone heart after reading and watching to many heavy-stuff.

anyway i totally think cecilia is in love with mc already since the beggining, she calls him to her home to spent time together given the chance she has, likes and have fun while spending time together, go on dates with him, hold hands, travel together.... do i need to say more? even in fiction girls would never do this if not in love with someone. btw someone said back there that in 88 chapters five years already passed and no progression? i mean if its was like one years or two passed i could understand but five is too much time to no progression if this is true the author messed with the time o_o"

also thanks to solistia for the translations even though it's not really quickly in the translation the quality is really good with even illustrations xD and this already means a lot so thanks for the work

I decided to check the original after awhile, and things seem good....

- Things finally seem to be progressing for the mc. He confesses again and Cecilia; who in turn told him that she wants some time to think about it (looks like she is taking the issue more seriously now).
- A little bit later, he "suddenly" praised her as cute, this made her left the room due to the embarrassment. He has been a little bit more direct after he got some good love advice.
- Also, things have been moving for Raven; when Happiness was asked if she likes him, her reaction was the same that Cecilia made when she was called cute by Youki.....

So, if things go as they should, two new couples should be born soon......

The good news: There’s actually been some translation progress on Yuusha Party!

(you will see on the progress chart 2/15 pages has become 4/15 pages! huzzah). I will, however, be out of town with no computer from this coming Sunday to the next Sunday. Another translator has also approached me about taking over Yuusha Party, and I told him while I do intend to continue, if I cannot produce the next chapter by the end of the year, come 2016 they can take over with my blessings. We shall see if busy-ness or translation prevails!
