Well to be fair Elena died before the current Elena imposter could meet her. So the Airhead thing could be her own personality or it could be a front and she could be super serous as well. I dunno. The next episode PV didn't give any hints that Elena would be acting differently from before.

Well I don't remember what the last episode was when I lasted posted but I am caught up again. As everyone's said already it just got good again really quickly, and if we're out of the wind-up phase and into the exciting part things should only be looking up from here. I can't say I am that surprised to have some kind of alternate worlds / fake/real world thing going on, what with a title like Astral Ocean, especially once the early episodes made it clear we're not going to be spending much time in outer space.

Especially in light of the latest episode there's a lot of apparent influence in the world, plot, and settings from Iain Banks' culture novels. Mostly from Consider Phlebas at this time, but a bit more from the later books is also starting to show up here and there. It's not a direct rip-off by any means, but there's a rather remarkable amount of apparent overlap. Since I've brought this up before I'll stop on it unless there's another big uptick in story overlap/idea borrowing.

I'm calling her Elena just so because she's the one we know, and original died way before.

But I'm all for the airheadedness being her real personality along with the serious side of her. Two-faced women turn me on.

Sounds... like FLOW. Honestly, they should've just kept Escape. For me, DAYS was always... just there. 3rd and 4th OP were much more likeable songs.

Ah yes, DAYS is number one for me. I also like the 2nd OP of E7. The 3rd OP hurts my ears and the 4th OP is not bad but not that good either.

Look, this episode was a mindscrew, even I don't really know what exactly happened. But one things for sure, that this is NOT from the past of the other universe because Eureka is grown up in Elena's delusions.
