technically, he had shorter hair style
(forehead area had same hair style as his old hair style)

anyway, everyone look like Yamcha, even GT vegeta

P.S: reason why Goten cut his hair
(read from left to right)

I really enjoy these slice-of-life episodes. DB I feel is a series too focused on battles that they forget to give some depth to the main dudes that are blasting each other out. Seeing them interact this way is really refreshing.

There's also the fact that Dragon Ball Z lost a lot of charm once it transitioned from DB Goku-kid version, losting itself on shonen cliched tropes.

Let's see how it progresses

Thanks. I found the corresponding manga. May read it alongside the series. Still haven't decided.

But the anime version always had this kind of episodes, and the series never ran away from natural character development (even Goku, although many people ignore his'). You gotta remember that Dragon Ball made famous/came up with many of those shonen cliches that are so overused now thanks to Bleach, Fairy Tail and co. It was truly a revolutionary action manga at its time.

Anyway, i liked the first episode. Character interaction is one thing that always made Dragon Ball stand out, as its cast is so rich and diverse.
The opening is cool, and the ending gave me nostalgic feels. It just feels so good to meet these characters again, like reuniting with old friends. I just hope the series is ambitious enough to go beyond that, which i believe is the case based on Toriyama's description of the future plot developments.
It looked fairly better than the average Toei show too, even though the main staff wasn't even used, and the 2nd one looks better judging by the preview. I'm looking forward to get some Bulma and Vegeta fix.

with enough development and depth, at least yamcha and krillin's next death will have some FEELS and some laugh

Was almost laughing non-stop during the Vegeta segments in ep 2. Never thought I'll live to see a day of Vegeta with wife and kid.

You did well, Vegeta, you did well.

Ugh, they're going for the Super Saiyan God again. I mean we basically already knew, but this episode confirms it. I did not like that power-up at all in the movie. Maybe they'll go about it a bit differently this time. I also hate how every villain in the franchise has to show off how far above everyone else they are by blocking attacks with fingers and stuff.

But other than that I liked the episode. We actually got some pretty nice characterization in these first two episodes. It's funny how low Bulma's and Trunk's expecations are regarding Vegeta's tolerance for familiy matters.

That was a lot of fun. I'm surprised Vegeta managed to hold out for as long as he did. He truly loves his family.

Well, for one, there won't be Pan so the ritual is obviously going to be at least a little bit different.

Well, they either needed to remove Pan or have Gohan not go Super Saiyan. In fact, this is still not very long after Buu, so Gohan better still not go Super Saiyan. It's been what, a year at most since Buu? 6 months for the wish to make people forget Buu, and then another 6 months after that to the present?

It's bad enough that he looks leaner and weaker than he did when he first entered high school, as if implying one year of no training > seven years of no training + growing into a body that isn't training.

Maybe they'll have him put up a better fight against Beerus now, too. Like, he'll still miss his attacks (because of not training), but he'll tank at least a couple of hits before going down rather than getting taken out faster than Buu (who, by this point, should be quite a good deal weaker than any of the adult Saiyans in SSJ2 form).

I really liked Vegeta's promise in DBZ was connected to events in Super.

Could you elaborate? Looking back on the major villains Freiza, Cell, and Buu I can't remember a single time they blocked attacks with fingers.

I'm loving the relaxed comedic nature of DB Super for now.

As for Gohan, I don't reckon he's gonna be putting up any sort of fight whatsoever, he's going to be a wash.

It's completely ambiguous at the moment. All we've got is "Six months after Boo, they erased everyone's memories with the Dragon Balls and then some more time has passed." It could be a few months, or it could be a lot more than that.

And if anyone has been told otherwise... go get some better fansubs. I hear there's a lot of garbage subs out for this series.

Started watching it (never watched the previous seasons, but have a general knowledge about it). My mind can't handle the fact that kid Trunks is voiced by Takeshi Kusao. He sounds nothing like any other his roles I've heard.
