10 out of 10 is hard for me too.
But I guess the latest ones are Tanya the Evil, WorldEnd: Shummatsu nani shiteimasuka? and Violet Evergarden would fit that category for me. Any anime that can make me cry or feel very emotional is 10/10 material, though there haven't been much lately that can make me do that. |

I'm generous to give 10/10 in Myanimelist. As long as a show entertained me enough. For example, I only gave it a 7 or 8 here in the forums... but on MAL, it will be a 10.
Last 10/10 I saw is Uma Musume.

Sound of the Sky tops my list of anime. Its so well crafted, and incredibly deep if you watch closely.
Other 10/10 for me from this year would be: -A Place Further than the Universe -Violet Evergarden -The Ancient Magus' Bride

The original Berserk, Jungle Wa Itsumo Hare Nochi Guu, Kareshi No Kanajo, Midori no hibi, Gunslinger Girl, Sakura Tsuushin and some others. The 1st seasons of Naruto. One Punch Man. I also have a special place for Popotan and He's my Master for very ecchi reasons. But that special place is very populated.
Not many anims I enjoy anymore. I enjoyed 3-gatsu no Lion and Youjo Senki a lot but never close to a 8 for me. |

Madoka Magica. I wouldn't say it's 10 out of 10, rather it's just that it's a good example of what I think a great narrative should be. And I'm cheating a bit because I'm referring to the manga adaptation.
I'm impressed by Madoka Magica and how it chose to not focus so much on the story as much as it's characters and it's all the stronger for it. What's more is how much it's able to accomplish with a small cast of main characters, with little interaction between them and the minor characters, and in just 12 chapters no less. Each main character has a large amount of depth and meaning to their story, even the villain who doesn't seem like they would have a sympathetic background, did in fact have one when I thought about it. I liked that the story isn't straightforward, and how I could learn more about these characters by simply reexamining the content that's already there. It's too early to say for sure, but after reading the first chapter of Yasusoku no Neverland, I felt that it had the potential to be equally as deep. But I would have to read more to confirm whether or not that is the case. EDIT: It's a engaging story, but I don't think it'll reach it's full potential.

Not only might that be the last one for me, it might be the only one. When you say 10/10 to me that means functionally perfect, and FLCL is probably the only anime that meets that threshold for me. I'd actually rank Seirei no Moribito as the greatest series in anime history, but at 26 episodes there a couple of things I might have done a bit differently. At only 6 FLCL has an easier job to be perfect, but it nevertheless pulls it off for me.

I rarely rate shows 10/10,
Shows that I gave this score are: Baccano (though I’m not sure I would rate it as such now). Gankutsuou Legend of the Galactic Heroes Gintama and Gintama° HunterxHunter (2011) JoJo (thanks for the part 2) Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu Gurren Lagann Laputa Yokoyama Mitsuteru Sangokushi And that’s it, I guess. That makes Rakugo to be the latest 10/10 shows that I watched. |

I'm no critic so a show doesn't need to be absolutely perfect to get a 10 from me. I just need to get a ton of enjoyment out of it and/or it needs to leave a deep impression on me.
Last one was I want to eat your pancreas. Before that, SoraYori. Quote:
