The Legend of Black Heaven (Kacho-Oji)

Does anyone who has heard of this series, like if it was ever fansubbed or licensed? I can't find anything about it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Heaven

I heard it was about music and that got me interested because of K-ON.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question because this was indeed aired from 1999-07-08 to 1999-10-07

You can read more about it here. But it was indeed licensed at one point, and there are groups that "released it" (whether they are DVD rips or actual fansub group I don't know, but there is an English Dub version).

The series was licensed by Pioneer/Geneon so the thread belongs in the Licensed forum. Since it is licensed, please do not ask where to find the fansubs.

Black Heaven was an excellent anime. From beginning to End.
Think of it as a 'has been Beck' or Gungrave but with a Rock Band. Or K-On with a Old Man as the lead.

I loved it from beginning to end.

Oh I forgot to mention the Space Aliens. But music wise? Only 2-3 songs total. They repeat the primary song a LOT but slowly show it to you less and less as the series goes on.
(There's a reason for the main song but that's the whole plot of the show).

^ If you watched the series you would know that the first reason was just a lie they told his relatives and the second is the truth. It was too lame to be told so they hid the truth.

Ah okay, would you know if the original license stayed or if it expired and they relicensed it? Either way I like that we have a thread for it now at least.
