Earthquake in Japan

How bad was the earthquake in Tokyo?
Does it really force all TV stations to cancel the scheduled anime shows?

CNN.com This is all I could find. NO one else has picked up the story yet. The News channel itself is busy with Larry King Live. I have emailed a friend in Tokyo to see how things are.

You're asking this due to the Anime aren't you?

Actually, gundam is not my favourite anime. I would like to know whether other animes are affected.

Yes, there was another one this morning - although I will be honest in saying that I didn't feel it; must be the lack of caffeine that early in the morning. The ones on Saturday had my building swaying like a drunken sailor.

There weren't all that many anime shows on Saturday evenings; the only one that I can think of on BS/CS is "GS: D".

Tokyo and Niigata are far apart. There are no damages where I live. However, the Niigata Chuuetsu Earthquake (as it is officially known), and the aftershock that we had yesterday night was pretty big that the tremor around here can be felt as a shindo three.
