Ahh I originally thought using the word "pervert", but I checked for the meaning from dictionary.com and it says that the noun form means " One who practices sexual perversion," which shouldn't mean that in that case i think...

Oh, about the names, I'm more familiar with Raito/Ryuuku than the official names. However, I'm completely fine to switch it over to their official names.

Weird things happened while I was translating it... First, I had translated 7 pages, then my browser had to be redirected to another page which made me lose the translation... than I tried to work on my laptop.. and I can't type spaces with the editor... so give me some more time while I recover from this shock..

*edit: Ok I've added a bit of the translation. Sorry that I was missing on Saturday coz Saturdays are my Guilty Gear XX Days, when I travel to town to play GGXX with fellow Singaporeans. I'll be focusing on the more recent, untranslated chapters first... so I'll put chapter 32 on hold.

No close friends to speak of, no girlfriend, even the relationship he has with his parents and sister seemed somewhat distant and cold. Like everyone around him is little more than an acquaintance. The only thing he seemed to be emotional about was the rationalized goal he had for using the deathnote, to make the world a utopia with him being the one in control. But over time the desire to protect his ego, keep that power at any cost, and willingness to use the power against any threat seems to become his main goal and that turns him into just the kind of murdering criminal he sought to eliminate at the beginning. If Raito came to understand this, the realization would be along the lines of "We have met the enemy and he is us". If he grasps this before 'L' could prove that Raito was responsible for all the deaths's, he could forfeit the deathnote as an easy way out which would wipe his memory of the power he'd once had and how he had used it. But would he settle for quitting while he was ahead and accept a stalemate with 'L', or would he try to temporarily establish his innocence with the plan being to regain the power later to push his luck for a win?

raito is all innocent in the beginning, you can tell by looking at his eyes,
but later he becomes twisted.
my fav is L, hes the best, and so is misa, but she kinda is the not bright type.
but i like all the characters in there.

Wow, I just started reading this manga today, and I read all the way up to ch. 38! This is a really great manga, with great characters! I don't think I've been this obsessed with a manga for a long time. Raito/Light is definetly an awesome character as well as L. They are both really evil in a way, tho the story is taking a weird turn now.

Does Raito/Light figure out that he was Kira with those flashbacks in 41? What is he thinking?
