Well they found Kagari, but they should also be concerned about the other group that's looking for her. The hints that the group was compromised of men and that one of their members was a foreigner makes me wonder if Leskinen is involved. Okabe saw him disappear down a hallway, so we know he's hiding something.
So even Okabe himself notes the similarities Kagari has Kurisu.

I know Leskinen isn't the only foreigner in Japan, but it's pretty obvious he's the one who was looking for Kagari. The question is why? That guy is really mysterious. I have little doubts he's responsible for her memory loss. The biggest mystery is how Kagari is related to Kurisu. Her voice isn't really the first difference that came to mind, by the way

^ For your instance, in the VN, when Okarin was thinking about the differences, he took notice of the "assets"
Anyway, this is something I was a bit surprised in an earlier episode, but they definitely changed Maho's stance in general. Spoiler for Simple comparison in the VN:
Anyway, it is a good thing they made Suzuha recognizing Kagari immediately instead of her connecting the dots with the Upa. That said, it is kind of weird for her to call her out when she is already out of cold

I actually thought it was weird he mentioned her voice being different and didn't say a word about the other two huge differences, but I rationalized it as him being too depressed about Kurisu to make that kind of comparison.

I prefer the anime version. Okabe is well aware of the fact that Kurisu is dead. But he still can't let go of Amadeus because he's still too attached to Kurisu. It underlines what Maho said in this episode: Kurisu was a big part of Okabe's life. This will help him regain the will to save her.

I was going to be annoyed that Okabe "forgot" about Rukako's call for (multiple?) days. Not being a good friend, there, especially when it looks like Ruka might have been 'disappeared' for a bit, when Okabe finally called back. Felt like a key point where Okabe might time leap back to, if they ever rebuild the time microwave.
Glad they rolled past that to get back on the plot, though. |
