Yeah I'm almost embarassed to admit it, but Riku and Daisuke kiss (the whole moment really) was just so sweeeeeeet...It's like the most precious $hit I've ever seen ...Riku showing her innocent and vulnerable side was almost too much...I deleted every DNangel ep i had (cause i needed space) except for that one...God help me I'm I guy!!

-I'd have to agree on the Negi x Yue one (tho I'm a Nodoka fan ^^)

-The kiss between Koshiro and Nanoka in EP 12 of Koi Kaze, it was pretty short but due to all the build up it was really powerful (I don't think I've ever rooted for a couple this much)

-The best IMO: The kiss between Lucy and Kouta at the end of Elfen Lied. The sincerity of it all and the pure joy on her face as she embraces him always meke me tear up

There's probobly a few others I'm forgetting / have already been mentioned. I always find it frusturating when it takes forever for those token kisses to take place, but the longer the build up it seems they're that much more impacting when they finally happen.

I loved all the Full Moon kisses but I think the best one was still in episode 18-the famous mouth-to-mouth method. Oooh that was good.

Aside from the others people have mentioned (which I all full-heartedly agree with for most of them), I really loved Souma and Himeko's first kiss in Kannazuki No Miko. With being under the stars and all? That was sooo romantic!

I like kisses in animes, but i just watch animes where the couples are olderthen me. I like watching animes where there is romance between couples that are older then me. It may be a stupid excuse, but that is just how it is for me, i dont like routing for couples younger then me.

Anyways I liked the kiss scenes of:

Blue gender- Marlene and Yuji second kiss

Macross zero- the kiss between shinn and the other girl, not moa

Gundam seed- Cagalli and Athrun

Elfen lied i guess- Episode 13

Another one with a somewhat cliche background - the sun rising on them as they kiss, yeah yeah... But the lead-up to it was soooo romantic and fuzzy and mushy that the girl in me absolutely took over. I loved it. It really is all a bit cheesy if you think of it strictly, but c'mon, I'm a sucker for it if it's got to do with nature (and if it's Kawamori, I guess!). I rewatched this bit a number of times too.

I'll second that. Once I saw that scene repeatedly I totally agree with you. In Macross Zero episode 4, The way that scene depicting Shin and Sara kissing each other with the sunrise dawning and shining on them in the background is beautiful and very romantic.

I've seen a lot of anime kisses, including most of the kisses that other people have mentioned in this thread, but just yesterday I saw a kiss to beat them all. I have no doubt at all that the greatest kiss in anime is Negi x Nodoka in Negima!? episode 4. This wasn't a hot passionate kiss or a shy innocent kiss. This wasn't a kiss of greeting or goodbye. No peck on the lips nor a kiss that melts your toes. It was none of these more commonly portrayed varieties of kisses.

At first they are sort of shy and awkward, but as their faces close on each other, all of a sudden you can see them absorbed by it. As their lips touch the entire world, aside from each other, suddenly ceases to exist--the entirety of all existence reduced in focus down to that single kiss. I have never seen such an emotion conveyed so well in anime before.

Akane x Kazu [Mai-Otome] (forgot which ep) when Akane was about to become an Otome to one of the nobles but Kazu bursted in interrupting the process and Akane went flying in to his arms and they kissed with the whole audience giving a wtf face :P

The first kiss between Kippei and Kokoro. And also when their relationship begins. Kippei is a heartbreaker, Kokoro one of of the beautifulest girls of the school, although with an (apparently) cold and strong personality due to serious familiar issues.

Classrom, on the late afternoon, Kokoro is shocked because Kippei has incidentally caused her to pour out her feelings of sadness and loneliness, and she has started to cry. Actually she talked about that because she's relieved by his presence since she's (not that secretly) in love with him. Kippei comforts her; and on the peak of the scene, when they were about to kiss, she stops with "Yada! (Nope)" .. "If you want to be with me, you don't have to pay attention to anyone else". Silence. Outside of the classrom, a melancholic and romantic sunset.

But it's genuine mutual love at the end, they kiss each other, more than once. No clumsiness nor shyness, if I had to spend a word, it would be "a mature kiss" between two intelligent persons.

And the birth of one of the best couples I've ever seen in anime.

I'm going to have to tag along with NoSanninWa ... the very recent NegixNodoka kiss is simply one of the Best Executed Emotional Kisses I've ever seen portrayed in any anime. The crazy thing is that it is almost lost in all the fracas of the episode. It is just beautiful to watch Nodoka's expression during the kiss though and how she just gets lost in it.

To me that was the best kiss , it was like star crossed lovers lip-locking . After the recap Lucy's and Kouta's childhood that kiss meant a lot , it kinda signifies what they wanted to say to each other but coul'nt
