Linley(Coiling dragon) should have learn a thing or two from this guy. This is the right way on how you should exact revenge. Make them suffer a fate much crueler than death instead of straight up killing them. Cause killing is too light of a punishment for revenge.

ok skim through this one just now, my impression about the story:

Pretty standard Xianxia, while the storyteller itself is good for it's genre, the MC, sometimes, is downright arrogance and unreasonable, he is worse than the villains. The author also give him too much, god's vein, god's techniques, allowed him to challenge most opponents higher level than him and make him level up like there is no tomorrow.

overall impression: pretty good for a Xianxia, but that's all it is, don't expect much heart-wrenching moments or deep plot.

What's your definition of skim? Honestly it doesn't really seem like you read much at all. At the very least, his harem gets quite a bit of time and development compared to other Xianxia, and those interactions contain quite a bit of touching moments. And the main character is ruthless, but only to the people who want to harm him or his loved ones.

skim mean speed reading through, i haven't read to the latest chapter yet, and i do not wrote anything towards his harem or characters, i did admit it was a pretty good Xianxia for it's genre, and i do agree that there is quite a developments for the characters as well, but if you view others point, we have:

+ standard CN novel skill system, basically, ki veins, energy->skill ...
+ Like most CN novel, there actually isn't much deeper plotline, mostly conflict with this person and that person, seeking somethings.
+ let's be honest, the MC is arrogance and unreasonable sometimes, at least where i'm reading, around 300s chapters.

if you are talking about the not expecting much heart-wrenching moments part, i do admit that these moment do exist, but as of where i'm at, it's quite rare and mostly affected by characters. His harem get a lot of developments doesn't mean the same as having heart-wrenching moments.

As for being Xianxia, i agree that this one actually spend time to develop interactions, which make it a league of it's own in it's genre, but on the other side, the fews problem i have found is leveling up too quick and MC have too many game-breaking cards, it's hard to feel MC's hard work when you compare it to, let's say, Wudongqiankun. Of course, the MC's luck haven't yet to reach game breaking level yet, so i still expect a lot out of this one.

around 75-80/100 if you are only considered CN novel. If you take Jp Ln into the equation then about 65-75/100, but like i said, i only get around 300s chapter or so so this is still too soon for precise judging.

The treasure is probably that thing around his neck.

He will meet them if they are still alive.

Big question is the child that was substituted for their real son. If he survived, they are probably raising him and is one buffed dude.

if not, the thing inside his left hand. which only has difference name while got the same effect/shape. for me the question is, if the thing that assasin seek is with(in) xiao(yun) che and his real parent realised that their son's swapped, must the Yun couple glady enough so they will willingly taking care their subtitude son? cuz not only they could safely run away in hiding, their son safe and alive(if he doesnt married xia qingyue), the treasure was in safe place.
