How many times has Naruto been taken away from training by a random mission. The only quabble I had is at this point in the manga I found it hard to believe it was still less than 3 years for the Sasuke switch aroo...This may make it even harder to believe.

as for the special filler, the anime team is probably trying to clean up their horrible special track record, plus this special can't be the only one since they have an entire theme song for it, so yar lol asuma+kuenai=uberkuteness

Overall, this was a highly enjoying episode.
They did full-detail coverage about the initial phase of Naruto's training, but at least paused it before becoming dull and dragged. Furthermore, Naruto achieved his first solid result out of many, thanks for using his brain and asking tips from Asuma. Like in the previous two episodes, the original characters appeared for a couple of minutes. There wasn't any frame during the running time for this episode where the characters just stood there without doing anything substantial. Seems like Shippuden is returning to the good, 'ol days of Naruto. BTW, Naruto Shippuden will be affected by Golden Week, so until May the 7th. |

I can't believe I'm actually enjoying this $hit...These training episodes have by far been the best in this series...No bull$hit staring or superlong, exaggerated explanations...I actually felt like I was learning something and I'm actually very interested in Asuma's character..Learned more about him this episode then I ever payed attention to in the entire series...Seems like he's just a charaka slash away from penetrating Kurenai's heart? Or maybe something else on her perhaps?^^ All in all pretty good episodes, but then we get the break again killing the momentum, oh well guess I'll check the $hitpudden Movie next week to replace it if it isn't really a ghey baseball game...Let's get the most outta this though because the horrible Naruto show we've seen may return soon, so lets relish the GOOD...
BTW Naruto Ops and Ends over the history of this show have been so incredible, just kinda thought about that while watching the ep...The Ops in $hitpudden have really pwned the series so much...If the animation quality and coolness of those Ops could ever reach the actual series Naruto might have a chance to save it's soul...

Still they are no where near the first seasons.... I remember how naruto learned his massive shadow clone and rasengan but this new technique is taking way too long and it is really boring >.<

for me this is a good staring point, when you look at the series Manga, Naruto needs more time. and in the anime now that Kakashi has taught him to use his Bushins correctly, we might even see him using them effectively in battle, or spying like Yamoto's wooden clone. the possibilities are better now that Naruto isn't depending on his Kyuubi powers. |
