It’s actually ironic that they had to throw in fanservice where there originally wasn’t to help the anime only to get it heavily censored.

But i like it since the original was all about witty writing then actual ero.

I'd probably pick the elf as well, but I guess there's more to sex then just surface good looks...although with Zel, the age difference with a fellow elf probably stands out more

Hmm... on the one hand, the show does showcase how the different races have different perceptions of beauty and attractiveness based on factors like age. Since the elf is clearly capable of sensing mana and life force he's more inclined to base his decision on that rather than physical attributes like a human, while a Beastman's sense of smell and touch is more acute and can smell the difference.

On the other hand, I watched an opening of guys thrusting their crotches that glowed as they had an orgasm and I'm struggling to justify it.

Just realize that popular entertainment almost always entitles fanservice.

As they say, no matter how high brow your writing is, and how technical your performance, at the end of the day, the people want big explosions.

I actually found the manga very creative in its writing and wittiness, but the artist himself isn't the most...talented as they say.

The anime hopefully adds in what the manga couldn't.
