You didn't mention that he's the grandmaster of the sect, who despite still in qi refining stage, is acknowledged by all great powers of the world
To the point that they issued order to not attack qi refining stage practioners in case accidentally meeting him and not recognize him

I am fairly sure there is ton other of things I didn't mentioned either. ..

Either way Miao Shou Xian Dan is quite fun too. It has female protagonist, who while is certainly certified dumbass, is charming bundle of energy (and brute force). While there is some OP potential in her lineage at least for now it takes classic grassroots approach going from bottom working her way up.

Tale of a Scribe Who Retires to the Countryside: MC is scholar who failed Imperial Exam due not giving bribes/not having connections. For better or worse he was picked by powerful martial Master to record his life and eventual death for future generations and in process stepping on path of martial arts himself.

MC has guts and morals but initially not strength to back them up. Even when he inevitably become OP, I doubt there will be indiscriminate slaughter so common in these kind of stories. Especially as his "mentor" doesn't kill his way through either. For now there are only 22 chapters, but it's great and quite unique story.

Edit: MC feels lot like Rock from Black Lagoon imho

Well he already learned or is close enough to learn the "First Strike", have op sword and made high tier connections. Once he start practice for real he will have very good foundation.

what about Undefeatable Swordsman? I quite like it.

I read up to that point, and I really lol'd when I first saw them bulked up. But the translations started coming out sporadically back then and I dropped it, will pick it up later.

Peerless Dad is very good and fun murim story. It's also apparently loose sequel of Red Storm by same author. I didn't read that one yet but I heard lot of praise on it.

Also Chronicles of Heavenly Demon is pretty good as far first 90 chapters goes, hopefully it will not go down crashing from that point, but I am optimistic.

MC was disciple of very powerful yet just Spearmaster, but his master got framed by several "righteous" sects and both of them got killed as demonic cultivators. MC awaken in body of youth from ... demonic cultivation sect. Combining arts from both righteous and demonic methods he is set to get revenge for his master. Suprisingly Mc is quite unassuming and not edgelord.
