The Skull Knight is in this new Berserk anime? Man now that is what I've been waiting for. All the time that guy was in the manga and games. Finally he gets animated this will be an awesome watch.

hmm the trailers still only show scenes in the Golden Years era, which is the same with the old series

Skull is also in CG, but it doesn't look as bad as for Zodd. I'm still very wary of this.

It would be an absolute waste of time then.

Honestly the CG looks pretty crappy to me and while it's better than most anime CG models, it's still nowhere near impressive and I wish they had stuck with a more traditional animation.

Traditional animation simply wouldn't do Berserk enough justice. I'm of the personal opinion that Berserk can only be done in some really high budget CGI or a lot of still-frames like the original series that make it seem more like a slideshow at times. Too much inconsistency in traditional animation that can throw off a series like Berserk which is too important for such things!

Anyway, 3D isn't bad in all anime. The problem is, it is usually just sort of "Thrown in" and looks out of place. Using the Rebuild of Evangelion as an example, 3D can look incredible when done properly without being seemingly out of place or a lazy option. From what I've seen of the trailers, the 3D looks to top that of RoE.

Bad CGI like in the new Iron-Man when the FPS is simply too low to do it justice and the metal looks like plastic, that's the type of CGI that makes people wary of 3D in anime. I can't really compare these two since RoE are giant budget movies and Iron-Man is a series, but you probably know what I mean.

If this is a reboot or remake, I will cry tears of joy.

We'll be one step away from a reboot/remake of GTO. (The anime was great until they caught up with the manga. After that point, the manga becomes godly.)

Imagine that GTO : Shonan 14 Days will be getting a TV anime adaptation featuring the different cast and staff to the first TV series.

Thank god!!!
Berserk is the most thrilling manga ever.
Miura has just confirmed the new anime project has started as well
in his latest chapter.

I feel like crying,Berserk is more than a manga/anime,it's a ****ing inspiration....damn...
so many years.

I really hope this is a long, quality series that does true honor to the masterpiece that is the manga.

There are so many iconic moments in Berserk that would be amazing with the right music and animation.

Well, let's hope they hire Susumu Hirasawa again for the music.

This i feel is an absolute must.I think Susumu is a fan of Berserk as well.
Forces fit Berserk better than any other song fit an anime.
Great song on its own.

Another important point is the anime is going to be as violent as the manga.I could see guts slashing the Iron Knights in halves in the trailer.Berserk would not be "Berserk" otherwise.
