^1. From the latest info released Mega Evo are battle only. You need special items and some of them are event only and are pokemon specific. The first event only is a event Torchic with Speed Boost with it's Mega Evo item.
2. Only Fairy type are the new type introduce for now. Which effectively gives us: Last edited by Exthiel; 2013-08-11 at 13:29. |

It's more in line of Giratina and Shaymin's Forme change in that it needs specific items for them to change forme. They just happen to evolve on the battlefield instead of coming out of the pokeballs already in the Mega Evo form like other forme change pokemon. Also, I can't help but feel their teasing us with a Ruby and Sapphire remake since half of the featured Mega Pokemons came from Gen 3.
Also a bit more info on the event Torchic: Last edited by Exthiel; 2013-08-12 at 16:51. |

I quit Pokémon sometime around gen 3-4 because the EV/IV grinding was so time consuming and unfun that it made me lose interest in playing, but X/Y looks like such a large step up that I'm willing to give the franchise a second chance. |

p.s. Mega Blastoise look too much like a mech and Mega Venasaur looks almost the same, Mega Charizard looks badass compared to them at least in my opinion.

Speaking of which, I wonder if there's any chance Lugia will ever get a Mega evolution... |
