I don't know, the British Pound has been pretty stable for a long while.

The Swiss Franc or Singapore dollar? Honestly speaking, those are the only two currencies which I have read about so much never running into any trouble......

If there wasn't a danger of falling into some apocalyptic scenario I'd probably stick with gold, it's value is usually pretty steady (its only the last 10-12 years it went berserk, for whatever reason), and it has a much better chance of bouncing back then most things do.

Otherwise, food and ammo and rule like a king.

Well, it's not like daddy even used a lethal weapon either.

He punched the scumbag with his bare fists. If the scumbag was to die, then so be it.
Nothing of value, other than causing the child a major trauma, has been lost.

The fallacy of the story lies in the "if they have never had any trouble, they never will", that line of thinking sank the titanic -_- would say the same about the dinosaurs, but they did not think (at least at the level to understand they were totally screwed).

I am speaking from the concept of "money flow". When something goes wrong in a place, money should flow out of there and elsewhere. Of course, when trouble hits both currencies due to liquidity issues, we shift the money elsewhere.

OTOH, there isn't any place for money to go at the moment. Even bonds or space-exploration are gambles......

Money is like a shark; if it stops moving, it sinks and dies. It is a scary thought if all sharks suddenly stop swimming and perish.

euro may be as good as the Confederate $ next year if they don't get their act together.

methinks the only way EU-ians will salvage EU is to become more like United States... complete with US-style FED reserve (which they don't have) and Brussels as their own Washington DC.

I don't really have a problem with child molesters getting punched in the face till they die, but, well, we only have the killer's version of the story. He may be 100% honest, but we can't really tell from where we are.
