Miyu's battle form is pretty damn awesome this episode. Ah, what an episode of action. It almost reminds me of one episode 6 from season .

First five minutes was annoying recap, OP, and then a bunch of fluff no one cares about like Miyu shopping and Sella/Liz bringing Illya and Kuro some drinks.

After that though, time for some throwdown. I really liked how they weaved the Archer Alter stuff into Kuro's battle scenes. Much more enjoyable than the one panel he got in the manga. Lancer Alter still only got like 3 seconds of airtime, though.

Miyu installing Rider was pretty badass. They actually had, you know, fighting before the end, so that was a nice expansion portion. It also came across like she had a chance of winning (depending on how much Bazette was holding back) if she had just used the Mystic Eyes without losing her temper.

Overall, good episode. Next episode should also be a lot of fun.

Oh yeah, one other detail I thought was hilarious that we were never shown in the manga: the way Kuro gets into her battle outfit. I always assumed it just materialized like Saber's armor in FSN and Fate/Zero. However, here we see she pulls off a sort of Dark Knight/Dracula cape spin to get into Archer mode.

Thought llya being able to install Archer was her thing. But looks like Miyu is better suited for it.

Dammit Bazett, stop bullying lolis.

The fighting was really great, as expected from this series. I particularly liked Kuro vs Bazett's first bout with the flashbacks to Archer alter and Miyuder flying around (the CG didn't look half bad).

The episode covered less ground than I expected because they padded it with silly fillers at the beginning. I thought we'd get to see Fragarach in action this week. With only one episode left, we won't get to see the outing to the beach they talked about so much throughout the season.

The fight was amazing but they could have extended it if they left out the fluff and recap at the beginning.

The girls put up a good fight but it was only a matter of time until Bazett started to overwhelm them. I really enjoyed watching Miyu using the rider card but in the end it looks like she is letting her anger get the better of her.

Oh well it seems like we won't see that beach trip since there is only one episode left.

Everyone called it ending around this point when it had only 10eps, the beach was called off after first ep only covers 1 chapter. Now it seems like we won't get to the good resolution point for Kuro either.

This is as close to a perfect episode as I could ask for.
As much if not more than I expected. Hype was rewarded.

Bazette really is a freaking monster. And now an Anti-Noble Phantasm weapon?

The fight scenes were thrilling. The CG was even integrated better this time.

This was a pretty good episode. They did a solid job expanding those actions scenes to allow for some good fights for Kuro, Illya, and Miyu. Kuro probably had the roughest outing since she has to take Illya's hits as well as her own and Bazette already has experience fighting against Archer.

Some nice ingenuity from Illya though. Even though her output has been lowered she's finding ways to get creative and compensate for that. Had a pretty good chance there with using those shields to halt her momentum before her attacks actually hit.

Miyu arrived with some awesomeness as well. A great showing for the Rider card and really put the pressure on Bazette.

If we end next episode in a "part 2 coming in...." then I won't mind where we are ending.

It's not really "and now" since that weapon is the thing she's famous for. Assuming, of course, you know that she's famous.

I feel like Bazett's attack absorbs the opponent's trump card and reflects back or just nullifies it completely since you're not supposed to be able to use your best attack when fighting her.
