I wasn't referring to the poll. The popularity of Onodera (or in fact any of those type of characters) is undeniable. Me personally, I like them, but they are nearly never on the top of my charts. They are always lacking something in my eyes. But that's just me.

BTW I think I figured out how Shuu fits into the current arc. Next chapter Ruri and Raku pretend marries and just when they do the vows Shuu comes in and "steals" Ruri away. This way when they go home Raku won't feel as guilty. |

Ruri's free from the clutches of the Ruri harem, banzai! Wasn't expecting the author to go that route with the grandpa, Ruri... .
Shuu's scenes were so short but so important at the same time.

Well, I stand corrected, Grandpa really did die...I'll be damned, kinda liked the old bastard since he was like an elderly Shuu.
Speaking of Shuu, those worried about Ruri entering Raku's harem should be pretty happy with that last Shuu X Ruri scene :P |

It was a snowball's chance in hell for her joining his harem anyways. Don't see how anyone thought otherwise...
Omimon's idea a couple pages back about them getting accidentally married would have been freaking hilarious though. I can only imagine some epic facial reactions that would have come up with that scenario... |

That was one of the best chapters in Nisekoi, if not THE best. I don't have the words to accurately described how good it was. Absolutely perfect. Grandpa's death was handled masterfully.
I told you guys there was a reason Shuu was there. He is so based. Ruri hasn't realized it, but the her future husband is already right beside her. Now that we know Nisekoi can do drama, I'd say this increases the chances Marika will die...

Seeing Ruri cry made me teary-eyed. Her grandfather dying was pretty predictable, but it still hits you right through the heart.
I agree with Kanon that this is one of the best chapters so far. Hopefully, more dramatic chapters like this would come. Let them feels go out!

Now THAT was a lovely and touching chapter. Very well done indeed. ^^
Nice to see the mangaka strutting his talent like that.... By the way, if Marika does die of an illness or such like I may cry for a week.

Don't worry I hate harem too sometimes when there is going to be an End Winning Girl while the other girls all get rejected... I love harem series with an open end though. |
