^Agreed. If it has to end, then I'd rather see it end at the peak of its popularity than drag on and possibly Jump the Shark.

Epic concert required.
Plus likely there will be at leasst one if not two "extra" episodes...one being an OVA if they follow last season's pattern.

I don't really think it's shocking that the anime will end in September. There are 26 episodes announced for this season, and 8 more episodes would mean that the episode during the last week of September would be the finale. Doubt there will be a third season -- lol K-ON!!!.

Pretty surprised though that the manga will end as well. I thought it would continue publishing like the Lucky Star manga and show the girls graduating and moving on to college.

That is really sad news . I love K-on's brand of humor and KyoAni has done an amazing job bringing it to life.

Hey, maybe they'll finish Full Metal Panic now?

I don't really mind as it's one of my favourite series, but I sure will miss K-ON :'(

KyoAni already has a series they are working on after K-On. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nichijou

Not much is known as to how much they'll do with it though.

As for K-On...well its in others hands, plus they've been able to hold very high numbers on the music charts.

Well they are the first fictional band to hit No.1 on Oricon.

Kyoani's new series look abit like Kyou No Go No Ni to me.

And just to prove I'm completely bored out of my skull and wanted to answer a question of mine: How tall are the HTT girls ? I found a full length shot of Mio with her bass. I measured both and came up with her height. If the bass is 44 inches long then Mio is 5' 4 &1/2."

She's 5' 3'' actually. Weighs 54kg, blood type A, etc etc.

Nice deductive work though...

She's the tallest, with Azusa coming the shortest at 4'11"

Fixed. If Mio is the bijin, Azunyan is the loli. Where there is a pretty one there must be a cute one.

I've noticed that all the cover omake jokes from the manga have made it into the anime somehow. The first ones were on Mugi's eyebrows being food made it. The next volumes made it into the shorts on the DVDs (about Mugi's eyebrows turning upside down and only Yui noticing), the third volumes made it into the Mio miedo training episode about her and Yui's uniforms being tight.

Mio's uniform is probably tight too, around her chest.

Azunyan probably didn't feel that way...*gets clawed to death*

LTTP, but I noticed the tags 'keionbu' on the girls' bags signify their time of joining the club. Someone should be able to refute it if that were not the case:

'ke' - Ricchan, as founder (?) leader of the club, 'i' - Mio as 'person Ricchan dragged in, 'o' - Mugi as the tee-hee keyboardist, 'n' - Yui-han and her castanets, and 'bu' - Azunyan is best nyan
