Original TV anime 'Release the Spyce'announced.

Plot/Premise:

The anime begins with a lone high school girl named Momo (pictured in second image above), attending a high school in the city of Sorasaki. Unbeknownst to everyone, Momo is an agent who works for the private intelligence agency Tsukikage, that protects the city and its people. Under the tutelage of her senior Yuki, and her other friends, they keep the peace in the city. The story will eventually focus on six high school girls.

As if didn't already make it's case, it dangles this in front of us. Any bets? I'm 90% certain this is a double-cross, but on the off chance this is serious my money's on Hanzo.

This was pretty fun.

Special agency girls as action heroes!

The female character designs all look a bit of the same but the personalities of the characters are diverse. There's some slight yuri-tones in this (that licking...) but I don't think it's surprising. Pretty much an introductory episode but the mixture of the comedy, drama, and character personaliites has my attention.

Kinda like the variety of gadgets and technology in this series too. I'm hoping this will be a worth watch to the end but I think it has potential.

The adored senpai turning out to be a traitor? That's probably the most likely route, although it's not the only possibility. Any of the girls (aside from Momo) has characteristics that would suit a traitor from a trope-based viewpoint. The least likely one would be the pink-haired jealous girl (Fuuma, I think?), precisely because as the one who's most adversarial towards the MC she'd be the one non-genre-saavy viewers would first suspect.

Watched episode 1:

Better than what I expected, it's like a less stressful Princess Principal. The girls are cute and the action is good. Have not memorized their names yet, but I assume the girl who licks people... her dad was killed in the line of duty? The story might turn serious heavy later, but for now... I enjoyed episode 1. Oh, and I was surprised those two tough looking guys who littered cigarettes are actually nice.. I thought grandma would be in trouble, but they listened to her.

Looking forward to next week.

Haha lol, so much for making new friends, luckily other girls came to her instead. That is quite an interesting skill Momo has, being able to tell how people are doing by licking them. Glad to see that Momo Tsukikage so she can try to protect the people, I think she will be fine once she gets over her confidence issues.
