Higurashi Gou - Anime Episode Discussion Thread (OG/Kai spoilers OK)
Mod warning: After the broadcast of Episode 2 on 8th October 2020, it has been revealed Higurashi no naku koro ni NEW (2020) is actually "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou", which is a series to be watched by both old fans and newcomers. However, Episode 2 onwards have plenty scenes and information that both only make sense if you have watched the original series or read the original novel, but it also outright spoils important plot points revealed only much later. As such, it is very clear for old fans this series should be considered as a sequel. While newcomers could watch Gou first, it is not recommended at all.

The character art style reminded me strongly of Grisaia and Monogatari. Taking a look at the works of the character designer explains why.

Oh wow, you have got to be kidding me.
Not saying this series is bad. Rika has to go through those hell again, I mean she is only one who realizes being in the loop and experience repeatable events, so. Yes this is hell, the one who said it before me. |
