Shoujo manga 'Souryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni' is getting a TV anime adaptation. Coming for this Spring 2017.

The hot romance follows a young woman who encounters a friend at reunion and finds that he's grown into a handsome adult... who also happens to be bald thanks to becoming a monk at his family's temple. But, before he was a monk, he was a man, so, things heat up.

And it's a bunch of aliases. Except, none of them ping me as the alias of anyone actually known, and having googled and listened to some of them... well, correct me if I'm wrong, but they sound like they're either newbies or seiyuu who mostly work in porn.

So meh, I guess I'll give this a pass. I guess this will be the Vampire Holmes of the season, except instead of someone's vanity project it seems to be a small-time publisher trying to advertise its products on a shoestring budget.

Episode 1

Same start as the manga, no changes at all. The designs are good and for now the first episode just have the kiss at the end but is not gonna end there. Still wondering if they will apply censorship or not.

He is a "priest" but do we know exactly whay he is? A Buddhist monk? A Shinto priest?
I don't think the latter has to shave their head , while even the former can get married in Japan (not all of them, but in some sects they do allow marriage)

With the current atmosphere of censorship in Japan, I have no idea who approved this show to be aired on TV. And who's funding it and expecting to get good money back from clips that are less than 5 minutes long?

In fact, I think censorship is a lot smaller now than it was 4 years ago. Things like Drifters and Shingeki no Kyojin season 2 go to local TV (Tokyo MX) uncensored and are broadcast before 0:00, and well, we have AT-X with such series as Masou Gakuen and most recently Sin Nanatsu in Taizai.

So I do not see why so much surprise.

My theory: Now that the mainstream profit from anime comes from sales of broadcasting rights to sites specializing in broadcasting anime in other countries, studios no longer need cheap tricks to encourage people to buy Blu-ray.

Ps: It also has the fact that some powerful Japanese politicians who were recently elected also are otakus, like the minister in charge to reconstruct Fukushima.
