Fujinuma Satoru is an aspiring manga artist who always gets his manuscript rejected, and is told that "you're not putting enough of yourself in it". He gets by by working as a pizza delivery man. One day, while delivering pizza, he "noticed" something and got into an accident...

Spoiler for Stuff you learn in the first chapter, but if you still want to be surprised...:

You quickly learn that Satoru has an ability (that he can't control) that causes him to jump back in time in order to prevent an incident from occurring. He is forced to save people that would have died otherwise.

This series is quite suspenseful and reminds of 20th Century Boys in certain ways. I recommend it.

Satoru's act to me caused a number of butterflies. All the good he did in the previous 15 years wiped clean. And the killer is still out there.

But unlike the previous timeline he has more allies. Wonder how he'll meet Airi again.

Err, they do meet again, as she's apparently the final "key" to the lock that was placed on his memories because of the accident he was in. That said, really, just Airi? No one commented on how Kayo and Hiromi are apparently married? Truly?

Airi makes her appearance trying to scare off the reports snooping around the hospital, trying to get a scoop on the "miraculous" reawakening of the boy who was asleep for a decade and a half. He doesn't bother her after that though, as he figured that she deserves to be kept away from what may happen to him, moving forward.

Another thing I'm more surprised that people haven't commented on chapter 41.

Welp, that escalated fairly quickly. I don't think anyone here will be surprised that our serial killer has targeted yet ANOTHER person Satoru is close to. BUT... Our hero is now wise to things, and with Kenya around, well, let's see how this trap gets sprung.

You have to remember that he wasn't a kid when he was interacting with Hinadzuki, he was a full grown man.

That someone else is Hiromi, one of the killer's other victims. Having them marry up and having a baby (whose name translates to 'future') is poetic justice at its best rewarding Satoru's efforts.

From the still frames that came after Satoru's accident, and his conversation with Kayo later on while he was in rehab, it's hinted that she DID try waiting. But fifteen years is a long time waiting for someone who no one was sure would ever wake up. Can't really blame her, really.

Also, both she and Hiromi had a much better time of it than Kenya, who spent all that time trying to track a seemingly untraceable serial child killer. That can't be fun.

Who is Kumi? does she appear later in the manga, so far its only translated up to 34?
