Hnn, the 'purpose' of most fanfic writers is to 'correct' something that happened in canon. If canon is 'correct' then people don't feel the need to restate something that everyone understands. Charlotte is shown to have the most compatibility with Ichika both in and out of an IS (with Houki making a comeback only because of her ability to give Ichika a recharge out of the blue). This is 'correct' to many fans and they don't feel the need to address it. Also with the 'France-Germany Alliance' going on now, Ichika is completely removed from the equation, which a great deal of people don't mind either.

Self-inserts tend to die rather quickly in the overall scheme of things. They end up being boring, trite, and unimaginative. Granted, there are a few people who possess the talent to pull this off in a way that is not garbage but they are few and far between.

That would ruin the fun lol..more likely a WOT/Naruto/IS over. Focused on one OC in prequel. The OC is a WOT player and is a childhood friend of one canon character.

The sequel well let`s say that`s when the OC became IS pilot and also a member of good Akatsuki. It has 2 versions: one will take place the time in IS Academy and the other is doing work job

On the other hand, if the author know how to do characters well, fans will get interested in either playing around with the character, trying to put the character together with another character (whom the seldom interact) to see how things turn out or explore the other side of the character.

I don't check other people's fic much, care to share?

This might sound arrogant, but what I hate the most is accused of 'ripping people's ideas' (bad experience back in 2010), so if someone did that I can say 'fuck I don't even read it'

Reminds me of that Strike Witches fic where the OC is a War Thunder player and uses the Occulus Rift to teleport into the SW universe, trolling the witches (and the Neuroi) with multiple respawns, unli ammo, suicidal aircraft maneuvers, etc.

It's more like lingering trauma than anything else, I steal a lot of aspect from mainstream media even now.

I read a fic when I like it, I still read Athena and Silverbacks, for example, and practically any draft written in this thread.

Sir,I think I will not play War Thunder because of Airplanes killing tanks. That would be a bit too much for me lolz.

FYI: There`ll be no dimension rift thing..sounds a bit Naruto well you know some seals

The actual WOT player is an IS pilot. The character background will be explained in the story that I`ll gonna put exclusively in DeviantArt.

Don`t worry Fireminer, it will not contain Mature content :P The one thing I worried about you is your capability of handling the colorful words everytime I miss a shot occasionally in World of Tanks so instead I will not contain 'it'.

Alright, back to Gunpla for some refresher (still writing Mirrorverse at snail pace)

-> Decided that it'll be a crossover anyway, so everyone exist in the same verse

Story revamped enough that everyone has their roles, but most of the harem probably secondary characters at best (except Houki, more or less walking plot coupon)

It's not as if GBF doesn't have tons of character, simply not enough.

Yeah! And the number of Canon Gunpla is also big enough. 30 or More?

I wouldn't be surprise if GB become a spin-off franchise, just like Dragon Quest to its Tamer line. Also, the next part in the anniversary and Tomino's work isn't named "Gundam" either, but "G-Reko". Weird!

Also, how about Begining Gundam J/D/B for Ichika? Especially J.
