Medaka Box [Manga]

This manga turned into Tenjho Tenge. Why is Medaka blushing? I thought she didn't understand emotions? She's supposed to be the comic relief that allows Zen to het closer to the treasurer girl (who was a better pairing).

I'm guessing Medaka and her brother find out how the "king" guy and his mask friend work, use their powers against them, and the next challenger appears.

How amusing...we've all been fooled. The spoiler isn't in order, it is just two pages spliced, Medaka wasn't reacting to her brother, she was reacting to the the king guy who apparently has the ability to make people bow, or something.

Really? That's a relief. Still, seeing Medaka blush to someone other than Zenkichi is kind of annoying, especially when she doesn't give him any special consideration. I really hope it's just the guy's "power" that does it.

Edit: Saw the RAWs. Nice to see Zenkichi actually do something for once. Too bad be failed horribly. Maybe after that, Medaka should just say "You're worthless, stay out of my fights... besides I WANTED that guy to kiss me, you dog! Didn't you see the way I blushed for him?"

I don't think Medaka's attracted to the king guy, I think she just blushed because she's not used to being vulnerable or approached in such a foreward manner. Besides, she went back to normal pretty fast. I wouldn't be surprised if she deduces his secret and makes him bow in the next few chapters.

Apparently its something similar to that sakki you see in all those fighting mangas. Except in this case, it's more along the lines of OUki.

I just hope the new guy doesn't become vice president or a romantic rival. All the class 13 members are just a bunch of boring stock characters. The "King" or whatever is the same arrogant, overpowered shonen villain/anti-hero we've seen 1000 times before, and doesn't seem to have had much thought put into his appearance or character than what a 12-year-old would think is "cool". Though judging by how confident Medaka looked at the end, I'd say she has a trick or two up her sleeve. He's managed to turn every other obstacle into an advantage, I wouldn't be surprised if she was just trying to gage his power so she could defeat him next chapter.

Zen seems willing to stick with Medaka for now, though his heart I guess isn't all that much into it, and Medaka seems to really have no affection towards Zen at all, despite him trying to protect her. Kind of sad, too, as even though he's supposed to be her friend, she sure doesn't really treat him any different than anyone else. Probably has to deal with the fact that she doesn't really know what friendship and love are, which is fine, but Zen doesn't have to just sit around and take that. I was actually right, somewhat. Sure, she didn't tell Zen to stay out of her fights, but she DID save him like I said and wanted the guy to kiss her, also like I predicted. And she has no qualms talking to Zen about it. She really doesn't feel anything for him. I mean, she's even going on a date with the guy. Yes, I'm a bit disgusted-- at both Medaka's attitude towards Zen and Zen's wimpiness and just feeling sorry for himself. True, Zen says he hasn't ever tried to understand her, but still. But yeah, yay for freak love (not).

On another note, Zen makes a comment about the masked person being a girl, who ends up saving him. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe that's Shiranui in disguise, as this person seems pretty good at manipulating the King guy.

Only really good thing in the chapter was Zen saying he needs to get stronger, so we may actually get some focus on him.

in other words, Zen has been friend zoned. Which is fine by me, makes for an interesting arc. I always liked those stories where the girl doesn't see the value in the guy then suddenly learns to like him. Besides, it makes for a more realistic story. Girls don't typically like weak guys. And when you're Medaka strong, it makes things difficult.

Yeh I have to agree with you. I always question why some of those harem male leads tends to have girls that are crazy for them when they have no redeeming qualities.

With the way the Author set up the story, Zen has pretty much became a useless, wimpy, whiner. I don't see any level of training that will help him at this point.

True but there were some guys arguing that she likes Zen, this theory if was not destroyed before, seems to be kicked dead with the chapter 25, as far as I understand.
