Not only that, the original Athena was a Valis Clone(Heroine in Bikini Armour) and in general the idea of KoF figther in a fantasy world is not that weird, remember Samurai Spirts RPG?

So, Iori is in a world without Kyo and he wants to go back his world just so that he can kill Kyo?
I don't think Iori will ever go back to his own world if he actually confirmed Kyo's death.
And Chizuru will be left alone.
