The vibrant hair would really make them stand out, though. The most out-there color the ordinary students have is dark blue...

They could always tone down the color to scale with the others, (but then there are green, blue, and purple haired people in Haruhi). But they'd also have to up their design quality to match the existing material rather than the Lucky Star style.

Of course this is based entirely of a shot in Lucky Star of a student that looks like Mikuru in Konata's class that is not Miyuki. That and KoyAni's trend to put in self reference material when they can get away with it.

Er, we haven't seen ANY of Mikuru and Tsuruya's classmates. We've only seen Haruhi and Kyon's.

Also, as I have said, there are ordinary students that have blue and green hair, but, like in Clannad, the odd colors probably don't really exist.

However considering Konata's reaction, it seems like they didn't partake in their second year festival like they did for their third year, so those three might not have been involved in the cafe.

Miyuki is clumsier than Mikuru, so you don't want her serving.
Tsukasa is a good cook, so she might be in the back cooking.
Konata would be in line for the meido or scoping out the rest of the festival (probably watched Haruhi's film.)
No clue of Kagami and her classmates.
