I dunno, but she's sentencing Tatsumi to die just because he rejected him. She's either blinded with rage or because Tatsumi's real identity had been exposed she believes she has no other choice because of the fact he's an enemy of the Empire. Her last attempt at convincing him was probably meant to avoid this worst-case scenario, but... there's no possible way to justify this. Lubbock is dead according with the picture leaks, and right after this happens she still has the gall to insist with that shit? Goddamn.

I'd rather be celibate for the rest of the Manga than cheer for any other female though. Esdeath has rejected me by causing her own rejection. These wounds can't be healed.

Will have to confirm with the chapter out... but it sounds to plausible to deny.

Probably, Night Raid has been planning in the making. Akame will come up with something. Though that is very cliche.

Also, it struck me last night as I was thinking: Akame's Teigu poisons blood; and Esdeath's Teigu is blood. Correlation?

I am also starting to wonder if Esdeath will be killed off this arc, if this spoiler is true then her character is hitting an enormous change.

The end of her love for Tatsumi which was one of the very human qualities she had, may mark the end of her character.

And this is the Empire in Chaos Arc, what better chaos then from the death of one of the two strongest generals, not to mention the only one who actually is willing to work with the Prime Minister and isn't planning to kill him once the war is over.

Without Esdeath the Prime Minsiter will have to rely on a General who wants him dead.

I can't be used as representative of Esdeath fans, because I never was her fan myself and thus don't prove anything here. Not that I mind her character though.

If she realy did put him to death because she is butthurt , you would be right, but I myself would bet it's later. Tatsumi as lover is lost cause and all that is left is Tatsumi the enemy. As far as I am concerned it's not that difference from time she allowed Jeagers to kill him in case of need

I'd actually give the author a LOT of props for killing off such a popular character. You almost never get that in a Japanese series unless said series is ending almost immediately thereafter, and even then you rarely get it. He'd be risking a lot of spite to do it, but should authors really let the fans dictate the story to such a degree?

Esdeath basically has two options; convince Tatsumi to stay with her so she can keep him alive; or execute him if he rejects her since Budou and the PM know about his existence and would demand his execution anyways. In short, if she can't convince him to join her she has to kill him.

Considering the authors habit of going back and forth with character deaths between the Jaegars and Night Raid, Esdeath is the only logical member of the Jaegers left to kill off, Wave and Kurome still have some story in them before their deaths.

The author is doing a character kill off count down for both groups after all.
