Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun
Quote:
The manga centers on a handsome young soccer genius named Aoyama who is a Japan representative. His play style is "cleanliness." He doesn't tackle and doesn't head the ball. If he's doing a throw-in, he'll only do it if he's wearing gloves. Source: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...-anime/.111571

A Germaphobe who is ready to get dirty for soccer and choose this school because they have a toilet with water cleaning feature. Not really of a soccer match there, highlight is ofc OP Aoyama with fanclub and cleaning and washing everything while Zaizen is a hot-blooded firepot on two legs. Dunno if that formula will keep being fun forever, but lets see its next two episodes.

"Do you remember, Aoyama-kun?"
The entire first episode had my curiosity, but after seeing next episode's title, it really now has my full undivided attention. I know it's probably because at the beginning of high school or sometime in middle school, Aoyama did something nice to the stalker girl, but I just get giddy at even the smallest chance they had history before then.

I don't know... I didn't like it that much, the jokes weren't funny and everybody worshipping aoyama is anoying, hell even the coach without showing much she just sugar coat everything aoyama does.
I'll give the 3 chapter rule but it doesn't look good. |

Pretty much what I thought. Even though the animation's not that good, the storyboards, camera, and general scene concepts make up for it. For example, near the beginning of the episode, the scene freezes, blurs, we zoom out and suddenly see the scene inside of screen. Then they cut to the stalker girl, who's holding a plushy, squeezes it, which makes the plushy look grumpy (which sort of shows her feelings). That's actually a pretty good visual idea, I thought.
It's nothing special, but it's one of the better premiers, so far, I thought. |

I'm actually surprised that this week's episode is much better rounded that the first one. Obviously Aoyama's germaphobia is still the core joke about everything, however the author and writers still manage to include other characters into the events.

I'm going to keep watching this series. It is actually more diverse and fun to watch, than it sounds like.
I mean how can something escalate to an eating competition or why would someone deny a half dress girl touching them? |

OK, I have to say it makes me sad every time I see someone say this. Men are not pigs, and we are not perverts or sex addicts. Any man who deserves even one nut would be able to think things through and realize when it's not the right time or place, or the right person. A truly worthy man can wait as long as it takes for the right person and for everything to be right, with the time, the place, and with her. Even if it takes years. Anyway, someone like Aoyama would obviously not be able to touch her. If you find it strange then you clearly don't understand the power of phobias. I'm fairly sure that his last-five-minutes thing isn't because he feels like he's actually OK being dirty for five minutes, but because he doesn't have enough will power to handle anything more than five minutes plus the time it takes to reach the shower.
On a different note, I liked that end with Kana. That jerk deserved that, after making his girlfriend do whatever it takes to stop him, to stop a guy who's an ace at a high-contact sport and to his knowledge might not have been the type who would control himself upon seeing the girl's bra. If you put your girlfriend in that kind of dangerous situation, against a guy who very well may be strong enough to do what he wants to the girl no matter how she fights, then you deserve to be beaten into the ground and then see said girlfriend squealing over the guy that did the beating. Anyway, I do believe Moka might be the only girl who stands a chance with Aoyama. She's already demonstrated her ability to achieve cleanliness that meets his standards after all. I could see her submitting to various examinations to confirm that her food's clean enough to eat, her lips are clean enough to kiss, etc., and pass each test with flying colors. I suspect that's what it'd take to be able to be together with that guy. |

Honestly you cannot take this show seriously and over analysing it. I am always the opinion that in comedy and in love everything is allowed, there are no boundaries. |
