How do they know a title is that unpopular before they even compile one tankobon? It seems silly to base your decisions on an online poll. Everyone knows online polls are skewed and only reach a fraction of your user base.

Also, I don't get the feeling that it's being cancelled after having caught up with the chapters. Vol1 is Chapters 1-10, so cutting it off at like 22 would be odd. Especially considering they just gave it a color spread for Ch21. (And it says highly anticipated Vol1 going on sale soon, but I admit that could just be marketing speak of course)

if you read bakuman then you will understand that they have a poll which sets on which is 1-3 and the number of who's into 1 will be counted for and so on and rank from 1 an so on.

Well they are pretty hard on the questionnaire and basing a lot from it but if the volume sales a lot like 100 000+ then cancellation would not happen that easily.

Ah, this is why I LOVE Bakuman. A good deal of us wouldn't be nearly as aware of these things if it wasn't for it, myself included.

On topic though...I can deal with a Saki end right now and I'd be a happy camper. Throw in a timeskip epilogue and I'd be grinning ear to ear. Those endings get me every time.

Is the poll something we can vote on? Or is it only if you buy the Jump volume and/or have to be in Japan for it?

Quoting Bakuman again, I believe that there is a voting card included with every issue of JUMP and readers send it in. The card pretty much lists all the titles contained within the volume and the reader has to put down their top three. These cards are then counted and used as feedback for the mangaka.

Should a title consistently get very little feedback week after week it'll get axed regardless of where it is in the storyline. Unfortunately unless you're a big name, every author has to worry about their work on a week to week basis.

Saki enticed me more and more the way she holds back her feelings for someone she likes. Especially her wavering feelings! Testu you so cruel man!

Hmm the Author might be trap within his limited story and some theorize that the mirror will play lesser role in the future, but I am sure its still a ongoing plot device to keep everyone apart or together.

The tsundere guy and sweet guy are still back-up plans, just in case there is a losing girl... I hope its mao

Well I think that was done to take care of Saki's end of things, i.e her confession and such. It was always going to be a Mao ending and now we'll take that route for certain now. Which goes along with what Somnus pointed out about the Bakuman reference...

They switch places but after that Sakis mom enters the room and finds him so he ran outside but forgot to take the mirror with him. At the end he goes back to Sakis house but her mom surprises him and he is left on the floor. Could it be that her mom is going to find out about the mirror once the hour expires and they switch places again?
