Not get curb-stomped by "a machine far superior to I.S. " or "made to defeat I.S.", even if such machine exist, I want to see a very close fight.

Viper & British vs BT fight is going to be awkward to pull, I don't want anything to be one-sided

Again, I meant not reading now. I know it's not exactly according to canon, but I'd appreciate it if you stopped pointing that out. I'm aware of that and told readers that since chapter 1.

Nothing most likely. They were built for space, so fire and EMP wouldn't down them unless it was Supernova hot.

That would mean that he's fighting to save Tsurugi. The ideal situation I'm trying to think of is the one where Inami genuinely goes against the IS for a brief moment, no holds barred.

I'm thinking of something that would involve his late parents and Tabane... Hmm...

Crematorium? Hardly, you need thousand of degrees, you can't obtain that from anything less than excited material such as pure alkaline....

Both seems viable, one offer cliffhanger, one fold the problem.

I suggest you put a stinger after the second.

I was at a seminar once about plasma derived from hydrogen... apparently there's a flash heating reaching into thousands to ten thousands of degrees in a split second... just thought that might help.

@ Senpai - That's how I planned to end the fight first. Irish traps Ichika in a creamotrium room then activates it. He takes a deep breath and thinks he's safe.....then Ichika bursts out of the wall and he gets chucked out the window.

I think flash exposure won't help, but that just me.

In my concept, plasma 'corrodes' the shield, reducing their strength. (Like Hollywood acid concept) This is why Silver Bell and BIT guns can pierce AD with sufficient barrage, individually their shots are weak, but the damage is progressively bigger from each shot.

Same rules applies to Ichika's Gatling and most of Char's weapon, since they use HEIAP (High Explosive-Incendiary-Armor Piercing).

Of course you can just go with semi-auto big blaster like Starlight Rifle or Golem cannon, but that's really different kettle of fish.

@zero: Well that's just the proposed usage. The machine can probably sustain the plasma for at least a few minutes. The scientist who was doing this research was trying to apply it to glass processing industry so it was only explained to be used for flash heating which would make higher quality glass.

If I guess correctly the plasma chamber can probably fit a person inside if it's a glass factory.

Last thing: SHould Irish get shot in the arm before trying to escape or come out of the gun threat unscratched? he still ends up with lacerations since he falls through a window to a dumpster.

I'd say he have a cracked bone or at least some sprained joint, far from fatal, but still inconvenient for the first week or two. (besides, he's also went comatose for a while)

Yes.

Because you need to move your arm in a specific way to do acrobatic moves. Less about power and more about balancing.
