The Tiger is not he only weapon from the other world he got. Apparently there have been many "artifacts" from saito's world that have somehow found themselves in this Louise's world. While not all these artifact are weapons one cannot deny that weapons are certainly the most common things to be found that have mysteriously appeared in their world as they got a whole armory/basement of their central Church to prove it(Julio's country been doing some- ehh collecting for the past 80 years or so gathering artifacts that have turned up from saito's world). They got guns ranging from old Mausers, Thompsons to Ak-47s. Various Shot-up jet fighters( though none of it are usable as they cannot be repaired plus aircraft bullets and missiles are beyond what they can reproduce) and beat-up tanks ( there is one Tiger Tank in almost Mint condition). Man i've been waiting for this; I thought saito wont have any other weapon except the Zero XD.
I do hope we get to see more weapons like the F-16

What part was it in the novel that a country in the east that has some sort of technology(something like that)??.

Never mind that. Saito carries an Ak in addition to his sword now. Because Julio and Derflinger told saito that past Gandalfr always wielded two weapons: the sword in one hand to protect his master and a spear/lance or Bow to strike the enemy from afar so what better weapon for the current Gandalfr to strike the enemy than a Gun( An Ak-47 no less).

thats a lot of deadly weapons they present in the 13'th novel. because i know 0 japonese, maybe someone could enlighten me also: is there any hint (or maybe written bold :P) in the novels that Saito killed somebody? in volume 3 he shoots at the dragoons from his Zero fighter, but it isn't exactly stated that he killed them

If I remember correctly, the novel never stated that he killed anyone.

I believe the novel also explicitly told that Saito tried not to kill anyone as he singly covered the Tristainian withdrawal from Albion.

A lot bigger than the Tiger, much more armor, etc. Though they both have the same 88mm gun. Though...well, nevermind. I was going to point out the Tiger II's biggest weakness. It is a slow beast and consumes fuel. But on a battlefield in this world, being slow isn't bad I guess. If there were legions of tanks you were fighting, it is, but not against knights and calavry.


So from what I have seen, we have had Japanese Naval Airmen, German panzer crews, and American infantrymen from Vietnam in this world.pretty diverse crowd.

Also it seems German infantry have also been in this world since the rifles used are either Mausers, or copies of them.

Anyways..w00t! The tank used is also what my name is after. Also, if you have not figured it out, I am a WWII buff. I keep praying I will see a P-47. Would be the best aircraft for fighting in this world. The eight Browning .50 caliber machine guns would do better for killing knights than the A6M(Zero)'s two Type 99 20mm cannons and two Type 97 77mm machine guns.

Saito would have pretty limited use of the tank...if he's smart enough then he would reserve it only as artillery against hard targets like golems and castles.

Wide introduction and use of 20th century cartridge-based weapons would change Halkeginia forever. As soon as Saito shoots anyone with these and any country finds the brass casings, they'll figure out how to revolutionize firearms (they already have muskets).

What happens if Saito gathers all the people from this world and establish a country? Now there's political and military thriller to be had. I like where this is going. XD

The Tiger II would be a good defence. Build a wall of earth or rock around it. From what I saw, it didn't have the top MG 34, which would have been great), but it still has the co-axel one and one in the hull.

Remember that the magical world doesn't have the technology to reproduce bullets, so it would probubly run out pretty fast. Also I think the tank would not last very long against an army of mages (fire spells). As demonstrated in the 6th? volume some mages can cast fire spells that are powerful enough to melt steel.

If they can reproduce fuel, then I think they can reproduce bullets, too. They already have muskets and pistols.
The really thick armor of the Königstiger/King Tiger wouldn't melt that fast. In that time Saito could take out the mages with one of the MGs or whatever.

However, sounds a bit unrealistic, and I too don't think that is going to happen.

Toreno, sorry about being anal, but the term King Tiger is in correct. It was given that name by the US, but the Germans never called it 'King" .Sorry.

Yeah, I know. The westallied tank soldiers gave the Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. B Tiger II this nickname...I prefer calling it King Tiger. ^^

King Tiger does have a nice name, but the real name in Bengal Tiger I believe.

Anyways, not off topic...lol since there is one in the story.

Actually the Americans gave it the name King Tiger.

The British called it Royal Tiger.

Russians called it many things. Monster Tiger, Giant Tiger, and Big tigers are some nicknames.

Ive been Silently reading this forum now for a year and i think i finally wil post...

I think to my knowledge so far from what ive read this volume might just be a bit bloody with the arrival of the tank and all and there might not be any relationship progression with Saito's harem.

And since this is my first time commenting on this forum since ive began watching it id like to thank Baka-Tsuki for providing summaries =^-^= i read them all and cherish them.

The novel doesn't directly say that, but in the very end of the 13th book, Louise made Saito drink a sleeping potion and then asked Julio to open the World Portal. I'm gonna guess that the 14th volume is going to start with Saito waking up in his own world...and get summoned again?

As for that somewhere in the series Mr. Colbert said that it is impossible to manufacture such complicated bullets [for zero fighters]. It is different when the bullet is just a sphere of lead for muskets.

*Henrietta goes to the holy country of Romalia to meet Vittorio? (not sure about the spelling), the pope.
*Almost all the members of the Water Spirit Knights are caught for peeping during the last volume.
*Almost all the Knights get punished by sweeping around the school.
*Saito escapes that punishment, but instead Siesta and Louise makes him wear a maid outfit.
*Saito gives Mr. Colbert the laptop that he brought from his own world to play around with.
*Rune, an old friend from the Albion War, delivers a letter to Saito that requests Guichu, Saito and the whole Water Spirit Kights to escort Louise and Tif to Romalia.
*On the way the Saito's group encounters the Holy Paladin Kights who thinks that Saito kiddnapped the pope.
*The two groups get into a huge fight endding up with the appearence of Julio who claims that he was the one who spread the false rumor that pope was kidnapped.
*After getting to the cathedral, pope asks Louis, Saito and Tif to cooperate in getting back the Holy Land (the elven land) with their Void magic.
*The pope also wants to capture King Joseph by putting themselves as baits.
*Saito refuse to help on the first plan but agrees on the second.
*Mr. Colbert fixes (recharges the battery) of the laptop.
*The pope learns a new spell called the World Gate.
*Just when the World Gate opens, Saito tries to connect to the Internet.
*He sees hundreds of e-mails from his families and friends.
*Louise sees Saito crying in front of his laptop and finds out that Saito's claim that he doesn't have any family is a lie.
*The next morning Louise forces Saito to go on a date. during the date Louise acts extra nice and even lets Saito touch her. What more is that she smiles 72 times.
*Saito becomes frightened by Louise's generosity and askes Louise why. Louise answers by claming that she has used up all the smiles in her life just now and will not smile for anyone ever again. Then asks Saito to find another girl in his own world to love and protect just as he have protected herself. Just when Saito opens his mouth the sleeping potion takes effect.
*Louise asks Julio to open the World Portal in exchange of her eternal loyalty.
*The book ends with King Joseph ordering a invasion against the holy country of Romalia.
