Don't know what you guys think, but to me this new chapter increased the awesomeness, making the plot much more interesting, etc.

Medaka didn't lose to Koga, she passed out from the drug she agreed to take. Koga couldn't even touch her last chapter. I wouldn't be surprised if this was part of her (or Maguro's) plan all along.

Zen and Kikaijima were investigating other places. They are suited for that kind of task. Besides, it seems they found something that calls attention.

You should pay more attention to the little details. At the page where Medaka loses consciousness, she and Koga are all messed up, while Akune and Maguro are beaten on the ground when just a few seconds ago they were all fine. What took place between that page and the previous one was, basically, a short time-skip of just a few seconds. Medaka and Koga fought hard and the first one lost due to the effects of the drugs and was subsequently defeated, while the other two tried to help but had no chance against the strongest woman of Class 13 (and Maguro got weakened by some kind of drug before).

Not surprised with the two ex Class 13 members joining them, they have already achieved what they wanted. But I have to say, Nabeshima, Onigase, Unzen sis... even Unzen himself...?! Now that's unexpected.

As for Zen, of course he's pissed. How would you be if you knew that your loved one has been captured and with the added of having no idea about what they could do to him/her?

There is one thing that really irks me about chapter 43...

One of my biggest issues with the manga has always been it's inconsistency. Look at the end of chapter 43 where it shows all the characters. Notice anything strange? How about Hard Wrapping, who was nearly destroyed by Medaka and Last Carpet who was impaled with numerous swords just minutes before... Perfectly dressed without a scratch on them. It makes absolutely no sense. And didn't Nabeshima say Unzen's sister was supposed to be in the hospital for months? Seems perfectly fine to me and for the life of me I can't figure out why she'd want to save Medaka. Unzen I can sort of understand... He respects her strength, but his sister had no development indicating why she'd want to save her. It just seems like an excuse to parade around as many characters as he can at once... Which I think will just confuse the hell out of everyone. The last thing we need is 20 different main characters all duking it out here.

As for why they wanna help and why the two they beat are all fine, the best you can do is wait for translation and next chapter.

As for Unzen sister, well... She wanted revenge for what Medaka did him, wich proves how much she loves her brother, so I don't think she would reject a direct request from Unzen, don't you think?

For the rest:

Hardwrapping: Medaka gave him what he wanted.

Last Carpet: Made friends with Zen, and I don't think they would leave him there without giving him proper treatment.

Onigase: Orders are orders.

Nabeshima: Uh, hmm... Everytime that girl comes you never know the why.

Well, looks like the author found a new way to prolong the life of the manga. (with all the sudden character appearances).

Imagine all those 1-on-1 battles....I'm liking all these Class 13 girls.

A shame Medaka will be out of commission for a while. I will miss her but all of these other characters coming into the mix will make up for it until she returns.

We already knew that the other half of the 13 Party was going to show up at some point. I mean, there are 13 of them and we only saw 6 with the chairman. They weren't going to sit around forever while a group of people ruins the plan that they are enjoying.

For the people wondering about Nabeshima, she respects Medaka and falls under The Only One Allowed To Defeat You trope.

Munakata is friends with Zenkichi and Takachiho respects Medaka and was happy that she could overcome his abnormal ability.

Unzen was grateful that Medaka pushed him out of the 13 Party and thinks she is worthy despite their opposite views. Unzen has both his sister and Onigase under his thumbs.

Although Myouga is a valid point. Unless she has above average healing too or there is an abnormal running around who can speed heal others. I wouldn't be surprised considering how wacky this series can be.

How amusing this is since it shows that you clearly don't realize that this is a typical shounen tactic and has predated the likes of One Piece's recent arc. I pity you having so much irrational hatred. =[

Back down at the bottom this week (or second from the bottom), just above Kashikoi. Kind of sad, because I found the chapter with the animals to be amusing, especially with Medaka's reaction to them (and her subsequent fight with Kikaijima afterwards).

I do realize that it was done before but the way Oda did it was one of the best if not the best. Makes all other authors look pathetic compared to that. But again that needs a long character development something that Nisio has troubles in this manga.

I'll agree with that. His character development has been horrible for the most part. Characters are introduced, tossed aside and then brought back on a whim without really getting much. Most of the characters are one dimensional and it's been that way since the beginning.

lol. I haven't read One Piece, but isn't it like, 600 chapters (or so) long? Of course it's got more character development than one that hasn't even reached 50.

As for Medaka's Jump ratings, I honestly don't think I care anymore so long as it doesn't get cancelled (which I'm not worried about). What the Jump readers like seems kinda random to me, which is only made worse by the rankings being for chapters three weeks ago or something. All I know is that I read Medaka for its humourously absurd/bizarre plotline and awesome characters like Unzen and Akune (that and the occasional 'moe moe' scene like for example most of Kikaijima's). I'd say those are probably Medaka Box's strong points, and that's good enough for me.
