Um, it just should be a new protagonist in a different place. Some character's from the Code Geass should do a cameo or comeback. As for Lelouch, I look at him like a hero, because he did go away, leaving his throne, and responsibilities to the group, who can work together and make the world a better place.

This time, they should focus on the protagonist without much family politics, or sibling vs. sibling.

Actually we KNOW it's Lelouch behind that mask. I'm nitpicking but that is an old picture released before R2 began airing.

Therefore it's futile to speculate about the pic. It only means that Sunrise has nothing to tell us since they didn't even bother drawing a new pic :D

Well this hardly comes as any surprise. As popular as CG is and with as much money as it will have made you milk it for all its worth.

I'd prefer they just left things be, but I'll admit if it is a 3rd season I would like to see Lelouch back. I've never been able to get into an anime after the main character has died and been replaced by another. Can't see Suzaku or <shudders> Nunnally making for a successful show. In all likelyhood it will be the return of Lelouch. More than enough hints were given in the last episode to suggest he lived and what has been released so far suggests his return.

Lelouch is dead. All they can do is make a similar character, with some other traits. Lelouch was great, but if he came back, it would show that Zero Requiem was staged, and probably cannot work without him living, which would put down other characters.

What if Lelouch was resurrected via a Geass user or what if he was cloned?

I'd be cool with that, what about you?

I think that would be cool. It also makes sense to me. Did anyone else see that other CG pic goin around the net? People tell me that it appeared in the same newtype magazine as the one that announced his birthday party. I don't know since I don't own any newtype magazines lol.

Anywho it was the pick with a kid Lelouch holding the Zero helmet with the text Revival Re:advent at the bottom of the picture, with big Lelouch in the background wearing the Zero costume without the helmet.

Ah hell I may as well just link it.

http://hyper-parfait.blogspot.com/20...re-advent.html

It's past the regular Lelouch birthday picture that was on the website. Anyway might that be the name of the new CG project?

PS: Is his hair a bit longer than normal???

Yeah his hair looks much longer for some odd reason.

But you also might be right about the name.

It could just be the way the artist drew him for the image.
However, the composition of the image does suggest somekind of renewal or as the text says Re: advent (reinvent?), but we'll just have to wait and see.

Maybe the kid is Lulu's little brother or worse;

Spoiler for sacrilege!:

A clone is just a empty body, he/she will never have the memory of the original excluding a conscience/memory transplant, but a impossible technology in that universe (only marianne could to make it).
Instead, about another character with zero mask, oh well...look the gundam saga, how many character with a mask like Char aznable? maaaaany.

Lelouch is dead. That's it. If he were to come alive, his heroic death would have no purpose. It is like doing something big, and realizing nothing was done at all.

Now, Lelouch could have been low one night, and had something with C.C., which could have lead to Lelouch's child, who has common traits as Lelouch, and looks like him. That child could be brilliant and careless, so we could see C.C. trying to cover up the tracks. Someone who is likable like Lelouch, and learns lessons from an older Suzaku and Kallen.

Well advent means the coming of, being or the arrival or something. So Re: advent can mean the return or the re arrival of something, or someone.

Though still, speculating this early is just going to create heated debates, with a lack of information and foundation that specifically co en sides with the 2010 project.

This is the fun part. Now we have lot's of time to make assumptions, and predictions, as to what will happen in the new Code Geass. I just wish that as a sequel it won't suck, and come out very quickly. I cannot wait. I would probably heat up my old Pentium4 computer just to watch it.

But Lelouch didn't need to die, he needed everyone to think he died.

Huh, a new Code Geass project? Well, I'm pumped... I'll be looking out for this.

And I've been hearing alot about an original draft of Code Geass R2... What was going to happen in it? does anybody have a link or something with info about this original plan?

True but if he were to return to the public, even if he faked his death, the peace he worked for would be broken.

He didn't need people to think he died, he needed to die. Its what he wanted. Its why he spurned all other options--suicide appealed to his desire to be punished for his use of Geass on other people.

Now you ladies and gents have piqued my curiosity.
How will you all react if Lelouch is back in some way, shape, or form? (and I don't mean an Obiwan Kanobi ghost in C's world)
