Now this is odd. According to ANN, there's going to be a live-action series of Moyashimon, which will be the first live-action show in Fuji's Noitamina slot (where the anime series aired).

Now, I can see that if they do the microbes like they did in the title sequence to the anime, that might work, whether they'll keep in the exotic 'food', especially the Kiviat sequence, is another thing.

But personally, I'd rather have seen a sequel to the anime.

Yeah it'll be interesting to see how the live action will be produced, though i'd rather take a sequel to this brilliant little series.

agreed - hopefully, it will be good. I am curious about those microbes though. Are they gonna show some 3D/2D stuff out of it?

. Hope that won't spoil the market and disappoint all those Moyashimon fans.

agreed since some of the hilarity can only really be pulled off with animation...I dunno how it's going to be but hopefully it can match itself in a different way with moyashimon!

OMG, live action Haruka is so hot, the outfit is great. The other girls are cute too. I agree all of characters are spot on. I've got to watch this now.

About the lack of Kei... it couldn't be that they have cut him out of the series, could it?

Say it isn't so.

I was just thinking they have someone, though they're just not showing the trap version yet. I mean there's a chance that may not even make it into the drama.

I am really excited about the LvA and that too being a series than a stand alone movie, my excitement is double . It will be fun to see various Microorganisms . I am really curious to see who they pick for Itsuki . The actor who is playing the professor will make or break the series . Also hope they take someone with spunk to Haruka .

Can wait to hear the cast announcements ^__^

Kaoru Mistao is a perfect match this is like a 2D to 3D transformation here . Hasegawa also looks perfect for her role . Itsuki will have to wait and see .

The only character I am sort of dissatisfied with is Sawaki IMO actor is too bishie =/

Well, Nishida of Warai-meshi duo (Laughing Rice) is a famous comedian in Japan.
Kaoru's character design (even if the author denies it

) is likely to be based on him in the first place.

Now everyone's wondering if the other comedian, Kendo Kobayashi, who also resembles a Moyashimon character closely will be casted or not.
