I already knew it was only going to be twelve. As long as they wrap it up nicely I'll be pretty satisfied with this series. It was simple, yet enjoyable.

I don't know if you can read the novels online, only I know is, they are really hard to get. Unfortunately, there's no english translation of these novels yet.

Library Task Force heads over to their branch over at Kasahara's hometown in Ibaraki to help beef up their military arm. They aren't very welcome though, since the administrative arm has been able to run roughshod over the military side due to their lack of members and their boss's non-militant stand. Meanwhile Kasahara isn't too crazy about going back since her parents don't know that she's part of the Taskforce, and that she's gonna get chewed if they see her on duty...

The admin girls quickly get to work on Kasahara as she's the only girl within the detachment sent. Bullying ensues, on her and the few local girls from the military side. Of course she naturally seeks solace in our(her) very own Dojo. Things come to a head when the admin girls force the military ones to reveal Kasahara's weakness, that being her parents. A confrontation occurs between her and her mom, ending up with them slapping each other. They do make up though, thanks to her dad.

It all ends when Kasahara does some public Shock and Awe toward them admin people, and they finally yield to give fair treatment toward all members of the library. Meanwhile, the Media Regulation Truck Convoy rumbles presumably towards the library...

P.S. Looks like Shibasaki is the one who fell for Tezuka first, and he is still dense as usual. And Sawashiro Miyuki plays her epically as usual, as Shibasaki's concern shines through just the word "Tezuka". A winner is her I say.

We now know why Kasahara is so dumb academically-challenged — her father dropped her on her head when she was a cute little baby!

Hmm... while I loved the Kasa X Dojo raburabu moment, what happened to their hot tea date?

Guys are born dense. That's why girls love us. Don't worry, Shibasaki. Tezuka may eventually get the hint if you threaten to sleep with him for information!

Onto more serious matters, I don't quite get the significance of the M.Bison power suit (maybe it grants instant hadouken powers?). It's important enough for the MIB to send a full company of soldiers to liberate it from Ibaraki Library. Will have to wait for the subs to find out more.

As portrayed in this episode, we see another side of the Library Corps that hints at the complexity of their internal politics. At the Ibaraki Library in particular, pacifists hold the upper hand, so it's clear that not every librarian agreed with the idea of taking arms against the government. The Musashino Library (the main library of the show) is probably different because its commanding officer, Mr Inamine, personally survived the Hino Nightmare. His background would have made it difficult for anyone to oppose his arguments for an effective Library Defence Force.

The other libraries in Kanto don't have the same direct experience, hence the marginalisation of their respective defence forces, I presume. I further suppose the question to ask is whether these libraries are being idealistic or naive? Judging by how events unfold, the writers seem to suggest the latter.

I would probably say the same in real life — you don't own what you can't protect. But at the same time, I respect the pacifists for their moral courage.

Episode 10 was awesomeness.

In principle it's still shoujo, with the school girl bullying stuff. But then again, it makes perfect sense in Toshokan Sensou. People live in close quarters with each other, thus it is important to be socially accepted in a group. Once you're ousted you're pretty much screwed.

Dojo/Kasahara moments rocked! This episode has much better pace/script than the last one, IMO. Also, although the animation quality isn't as good say, the first five episodes, they got Dojo's face right in this one! He has more of a hexagonal face as opposed to an angular face. Episode 9 made his face wayyy to skinny so I wasn't used to it. This episode Dojo just looks like...Dojo lol. It has the Dojo feel to it, can't really explain.

Oh, and the part when Kasahara lectured those admin people. As someone had pointed out, she's just so BOSS. Inoue Marina did a great job in that part particularly.

Oh the Shibasaki/Tezuka part is well done too. yay for subtleness!

So episode 11 will be military stuff. Yay! I like how this show has good balance on different subjects.

In all honesty though... if you want gunfight stuff, there are anime that do it better than this... however, if that one pilot that makes overburdened helicopters fly by yelling makes a return appearance, it will be worth it.

Spoiler for Episode 11:

The gunfight in this episode was imho the best so far, I especially loved Kasahara's part. (Read on a jap blog that she was using rubber bullets (or something similar), so she didn't kill the enemy... ?)

The music playing through this scene was beautiful too. That made Kasahara's part somehow epic.

But what I'm really concerned about is that they shot Genda-san. He was shot while standing in front of that Freiheit (freedom) artwork in sight of Kasahara's dad and others. Genda was shot in the abdomen several times... I don't think you'll survive that.




Final episode next week. Apparently it ends before Novel Vol 4.
I think we'll be shown that scene in the opening, where Kasahara carries a wounded Doujou.

I hope everyone is going to be satisfied. Time passed so fast.

This show enterd top 10 in Japan TV_Ranking last week, so it is realy poppular.... That's why I strongly hope for, second season, its a unique anime, very watchable, and interesting as well. The only one problem is, that it endes next week.... I WANNA MORE
