Nice header (as always) for the episode, Midonin.
Since the first time calling Keima an idiot wasn't included in episode 9, it is in episode 10 so they cover a bit more than a chapter, plus they add original stuff again with Shiori diving into her dreams for another time. Surprisingly, as a rather lovable and beautiful fairy. Graphics standard is kept up, but about the bgm - they play different / additional tunes this time for some bgms which feels refreshing. Some kind of upgrade? Elsie this time plays a smaller role, but she's still cute as ever. And taking a closer look, she's like a third wheel to make things run smoothly. Like when she says that Keima scribbles in the book, she doesn't interfere Keima's interaction with Shiori but supports it by helping Shiori with what she also wants to say but couldn't. And (like in the Kanon arc) when she says that this capture's as good as eaten, that part's just waiting for Keima to disagree on to make the viewer (those who idolized Elsie's narrow-mindedness) 100% notice that... there wasn't actually any signs of a 'space in the heart' so far to begin with. Until the last scene. Keima mentioning monologues and then declaring that Elsie won't be of much help again this time in galge text layout was funny, and innovative. At least in the manga it was just a simple thought bubble (not like Wakaki-sensei could've done it in many different ways though). An overload of Shiori this time? Just my beer, keep it on! She does think (talk) faster at some parts this time, her slow pace is also emphasized on. And I too didn't notice at first that Shiori was actually talking normally, till Keima tells her. That was a nice moment, though partly my foggy memory's fault about this arc. The adaption is excellent overall, but I stay tuned for the conclusion next week. I'm a bit worried about it to be honest.

The conclusion should be done in a half episode if they follow the manga.
I'm afraid too the additions will make things slower, and cheapen the overall good adaptation we've seen of the arc until now. Very good episode anyway. The only one complain I would give is the flashback part. Loli Shiori is cutier in the manga design (yes, it IS possible! ). This aside, extremely enjoying. From the Blackjack reference to Wakaki personnal cameo (he's the mangaka), or Keima going Lulu with a laughting to the small cameo of the aformentionned in the second book Keima was scribbling. Lol at the Gohan mode Shiori goes to when Keima upsets her for the second time. And the Baka and Aho moments were nice too. Maybe not enough softer, but I'm just being picky. And the "this is a personnal opinion" about voice-control games.

Black Jack lol
I must say, Shiori's arc has thus far turned out to be the best out of all the girls thus far. And unlike Kanon's arc, which I thought suffered from excessive padding, this episode and the previous one both were excellent. Looking forward to the last episode.

Shiori's book speeches/delusions = Kanon's songs
Anyways, considering the amount of time used, the story itself was not worth that time, similar to Kanon. Maybe... Worse, since this might go on for another 2 episodes... Eh? He wrote on a library book? And... He did get in trouble for it, right? (Though considering the teachers' attitudes towards Keima playing games in class, it wouldn't be that surprising...) No idea who the artist is this week...

Well... Shiori was adorable.
And I completely agree! DEATH to anyone who desecrates a book! Shiori, thy name is Draco!
