Was this in 720p resolution or better? Insofar, all the links I have are DVD quality.

I'll watch it anyways. Gives me an excuse to watch it twice.

I'm sold on that methodology. Time to turn the considerable powers of 5 MB/s internet to good use

I don't need an excuse to watch it a zillion times. But there can only be one first time, and I'm not going to ruin that experience by watching it without understanding the dialogue. I'll also not be watching a DVD rip.

So I think the release date for the BLU-RAY version was yesterday huh? I wonder how many days it would take for the subs to come along. Idea anyone?

One could speculate endlessly but it will require someone to be interested in doing it first. It is a movie not a 24 minute episode and they'll likely want to do a nicer job with fonts and special effects.

You're new to the forum so you really probably want to read the forum rules, especially this one: http://forums.animesuki.com/faq.php?...#faq_rules_2_3

I know little to no Japanese and I still found the movie to be very entertaining. It's K-on in the end so it wont be hard to understand what's going on. I'm definitely going to watch it again when the subs come out.

Just watched. The movie's nothing that really surpasses the rest of the show, but it's still honestly very nostalgic to see good ol' K-On.

From what I've seen so far, the art is slightly more detailed. I'm going to see if I can catch a glimpse of the SIS (MI6) building in the movie

The animation's actually a tribute to the original two seasons, plus KyoAni's little sections to show off. Aside from that, it collaborates a lot of the series' music (but uses a different recording than the studio takes), and even plays around with elements they've never used before.

I know it naturally feels like you'll give a better score to a movie since it's the next step from everything you've gone through for the series, but I honestly did think this was one point higher in terms of quality, if I have to be evaluative (and I do).

Really, really great fun. Didn't exactly feel like a movie, but I don't even care.

I was gonna type alot of stuff, but Yui reminded me that keeping it simple is fine.

I love K-On. I'm gonna miss it. ;_;

This. Was. Amazing.

I didn't expect this to surpass the show, but it did. Well, it did for me, anyway. I can't say there was a dull moment in it, and maybe it was because of sheer anticipation and excitement, but I couldn't stop laughing throughout most of the movie.

To name a few highlights:
Spoiler:

So yeah, I highly enjoyed the movie and am glad that the long wait has finally passed.

I don't know what the future will bring, but I think this will leave many fans wanting more. Will we get it? Only time will tell, I guess.

Just watched it. All I can say right now is "Oh wow". So much awesome. Beyond that... I can't quite get a handle on my feelings about it right now.
