Even though there are only two new volumes, both of them contain bigger arcs, another volume is comming. So before it start be actual there might be four volumes plus it can be padded with some side story ommited from first season.
It might actualy work, though ending of whole things is supposed be around volume 12(plus minus), which means if Watari doesn't decide give closure bit sooner we might not get any this time either. |

Well, this was a no-brainer for the studio, the sales for SE1 were more than good, and the show was clearly produced on the cheap, I'm just curious to see what they will adapt, besides the latest volumes, since well, they rushed through 6 volumes in one season, the side histories, maybe?

I remember almost a year ago now when they said a s2 is highly unlikely since the first season covered almost everything in the LN.
more 8man is always good though, hope the quality doesn't drop

That said, I'm looking forward to the roller coaster of emotions from volumes 7,8 and probably 9 animated.

I think they meant second season was unlikely to be out soon since the first season covered up to vol 6 and there were only 7 main volumes out at the time. I think it was mentioned the LN will end at vol 12 so maybe the second season will cover vol 7-12 and the anime ending will coincide with the LN ending. If this is true then second season will come out next year.

Three volumes is more than enough for an adaptation, even if the first season adapted 6 at a breakneck speed.
The only question is whether volume 9 will have a "good" stopping point like the school festival arc was. People do like their "happy" endings. |
