*sigh*
I abandoned the YGO series at Zexal because I thought that they couldn't possibly pull the series any further. It is just like Pokemon actually. At least Digimon had the brains to stop their production.

Now we got another protagonist who's hair looks like came out of a washing machine all slick. Synchros, Fusions, Exceeds.... what's next?

Maybe they will try to revive a ritual summon or a card's elemental system this time.

There is a big difference. YGO spin-offs have at least their own stories. Pokémon are just "Gotta Catch 'Em All". Better take it as a stand-alone series, which connect just title cards (more or less similar to the case Gundam series).
By the way, Digimon don't stop their production. There are just now bigger breaks between series.

If it's true what I've heard, we can expect introduction of "Superior Cards" which will give an additional power ups to certain monster cards.

I am feeling quite conflicted at this point. On one side, I want the series that I grew up with to keep going for the future generations. On the other? WELL, I wish the creators would notice when to stop. Oh well, getting off track here and as long as they make money, they'll just keep doing it regardless how long.

The new "Superior Cards" sounds interesting. Could I get a link to this news?

Looks like I wasn't the only who had stop watching Yu-Gi-Oh series after 5Ds I tried watching Zexal but there's just no excitement like the previous Yu-Gi-Oh series.

Zexal only really starts picking up during the Barian arcs.

They do love making card summoning as spectacular as they can. To be fair I only made it through the first series (most of the seasons of it) before letting Yugioh anime sit.

Maybe I'll take a look and see how it goes. While I haven't done anything with them in a while I still have cards.

Though man the outfits of those characters .

Recently playing the new Yugioh game and never watched ZEXAL, but the girls are cute. But everyone have these psychedelic hair.
Oh, and I was amused at Kobayashi Yuu playing that cat girl (her voice is so obvious)

^ I think he might have been joking, but I don't completely disagree with what he was trying to say.

Honestly, every YGO! protagonists, more or less, followed the basic format.

Which is ..... show starts --> wild rival (or some kind of antagonistical character) appears!! --> the MC duels the person --> plot introduced --> special powers and **** start popping out --> blah blahblah.... --> power of friendship!! --> profit!! --> season/show ends.

A female protagonist might end the cycle in some way, but I guess guy characters are the ways to go in YGO franchise.

I suggest any Yu-Gi-Oh! fan here who haven’t read the very first original manga to go read it instead of watching a boy and his friends playing cards non-stop and saving the world by *gasp* playing cards for 100+ episodes per season *facepalm*.

Or just play the video games. At least that will give you more interactivity.

I only watched Yu-Gi-Oh and have no plans watching other sequels etc. The character design is awful....IMHO
