Konoha wants to be benios little sister then kobeni shows up...next she will likely fall for Hakuya then...kobeni shows up >_>

Anyways, favorite show this season, always can't wait for more.

Too bad Konoha has suffered the very rare "older sister zone." Doesn't see her as the younger sister type and thus Benio is not interested .

Assuming Mashiro's and Hakuya's powers are perception manipulation, Mashiro probably made her answers look like they were correct, despite the fact that they weren't. Wish I had that power in high school

A little sidetrack on how Dr. Who did perception filters:
Quote:
Perception filters had the effect of directing attention away from the object or its bearer, rendering them unnoticeable. Martha Jones described the effect on the viewer as "you know it's there, but you don't want to know it's there". Memory would be changed so that the object was always there. Any inconsistencies would also be forgotten.
Particularly intelligent people were immune to the effects of perception filters. Once a person became aware of a perception filter and the object it was disguising, they could no longer be affected. (TV: Utopia, TV: Everything Changes) Perception filters did not work on people who were not native to that time.
The way Mashiro and Hakuya's powers mostly follow this description. Mashiro basically makes makes people not see that there is anything unusual about her. She is still there, they know she as a person is there but they see her as any other student and completely ignore the fact that she is a kid. I also think Hakuya uses his powers instinctively and possibly unconsciously; his ability to just appear behind you is played for comedic effect but what if that's just him unconsciously willing himself to be unnoticed? Even the fact that he seems stoic to everyone but Kobeni could be explained this way.

Also, don't forget his display of not knowing how to work a camera, but was still able to delete the pictures by just tapping the camera.

True. He probably just made it appear as if the images were gone, even though they probably still in the camera. Nico will probably just forget she even took the pictures as well later on.

Other people only notice her when one of the above brings her to their attention, and only pay attention to her in regards to how she relates to the other person.
If you ask me, your explanation about Benio came of quite a bit flimsy don't you think? Are you you aren't being affect by perception filters?

I wonder if Benio also has some supernatural power as well. Whether or not she's aware of it is a different matter, but it works opposite to Mashiro's power where it directs all the people attention to her, while also divert people from her bad traits aka her loli-siscon pervert behaviors. This also explains how she can easily accepted Hakuya and Mashiro are supernatural beings. Maybe, Benio is actually adopted and is in fact an alien.

What's more, the vice-prez is actually an alien too which explain why she is immune to Benio's charm.

Oh there's more! About Konoha, she naturally falls for Benio, not due to her "poison gas".

Yes - this was another surprise for me. I remember thinking "Well, chalk up another special ability - being able to directly affect electronics."

This is definitely a possibility... but I dunno, part of me wants the idea of direct electric influence or whatever for no other reasons (admittedly) other than I think it would be more added coolness factor to Hakuya and make I more interesting story for me.

But like I said - no facts to the contrary and the description makes plenty of sense as a possibility. ^^

It's just speculation. Haven't even touch the manga myself, but the idea came from ep. 2 at 17:10 onward. Mashiro's commenting about Benio makes more sense now isn't it?

What are you talking about? Hakuya doesn't have harem (yet)! Though he is better than most harem protagonist I know, soI wouldn't be mad

More importantly, is it just me or that reporter girl might know about konoha?

No. They are just probably friends for a long time. that's what I feel because if she knew about Konoha then shouldn't she have a bit of immunity to them being forgotten?

Why she should have immunity? Afterall Konoha act (relatively)normal and used regular means to get into school, so no hypnosis was involved.

PS: But I misread subtittles, so while I still find quite possible Niko knows, there is no real basis for what said.

There is no evidence that Niko knows what Konoha is, but she does seem aware that Konoha's manner of speaking is actually false. Her only comment about Konoha's ranting near the end was "Konoha, your accent's showing through."

I always thought messing with Hakuya is a bad idea, but then this episode showed it really is.

I can imagine what Hakuya do to people when he/she mess with Kobeni and Mashiro.

That isn't really a red flag though, since many 'from the country' hide their dialects because they have a complex about it.

Yep, not uncommon. For example, both Genshiken (Oguie has a thick Tohoku accent) and Hataraku Maou-sama (Emi's friend Miki has a native Kobe accent) did it too. No one wants to be seen as a hick, after all.

So Konoha as the eldest probably had to come to the city to find a mate. Then Hakuya shows up. If only they met under different circumstances and back in the mountains.
