That friendship should be a valuable one for Hana. While Shion or her parents care a lot about Hana, they don't really get her anxieties. Having a confidant who understands her perspective should help foster the confidence to talk to her friends. Of course she has the benefit of friends we know aren't going to think badly of her because she got sick at the wrong time.

Plus a nice side story available for Hiroe to continue to regain her confidence. She fell from a pretty high spot in terms of self-confidence. So just seeing her prepare to get back to living in the world and prepare to take those exams will be good.

That's exactly it Their dynamic will be an interesting one, especially if Hana is taking a more proactive role in helping Hiroe out; Slow Start's been pleasant in this regard, taking a more serious topic and presenting it as a gentle, heartwarming journey of recovery.

This must be lightest and fluffiest evolution of the CGDCT show; if it was lighter, it would float off the screen. It's funny that the characters make a good references to Yuri shipping, but there's nothing so less than light as a Yuri ship between the girls. They work very simply and naturally as friends, and I'll very happily watch the series if I really have nothing better to do.

Good lord, Tama is just killing it with the comedy, and that moment with Eiko and Kamuri was great. Between this and Yuru Camp, the flufiness and cuteness is off the scale.

Just what kind of existence is Eiko to Kamuri's family ? Deity? Idol? Target for marriage?

Some good moments there. And nice to see on both sides how Eiko and Kamuri treasured their past together enough to be so attached in the present. Though I think Kamuri should do something about remembering her skirt...

Ah, the girls hanging out together for a sleepover and fun day + night. What a fun way to live life.

Watched episode 6:

Surprised to see a yandere tama-chan. xD

Can't expect anything less from Hiroe.. good at studies because she's a former student council president. Glad that she's being nmore sociable with people now.

That was fun. Something about Tama going all yandere was pretty hilarious. Watch yourself Hana...betray Tama at your own doom!

Seeing a random screw laying around does remind me of when I did some summer work at a factory. Sure a single screw coming loose in some areas isn't a big deal. But it does make you look around a bit to make sure everything is still stable . Not sure about being worried about the curse of the screw though...

A good reminder that Hiroe is pretty sharp. Her troubles weren't academic in origin, just bad luck and a severe loss in confidence. A good point though that she does need to work to maintain where she currently stands. That blade of femininity won't stay sharp if she doesn't work at it .

The scene actually reminded me of when I was a teen and went to a theme park with my family. There was a relatively tame hanging roller coaster called XLR8 that I rode with my sister, and right before we got off a screw fell on us. It's one thing to see a screw lying around in a room. Seeing it fall from above you on a hanging coaster on the other hand...

Some strong ship-teasing between Eiko and Sensei in this episode. It ended up feeling like a surprisingly good pairing. Sensei is the one person who can make Eiko's heart skip a beat, while Eiko is capable of working past Sensei's dry, cynical humor to reach to woman underneath.

On a different subject, Eiko may be the only character I've seen who can wear two dozen hair pins at once and still make it look good.

For those who did not enjoy Matsuri's debut, here's a nice piece of drama free yuri. Or something VERY close to it, at least.

Really, that whole sequence with Eiko and Sensei was great, but I was also surprised to see Hana of all people get a private moment with Eiko, and while simple, it was a sweet one that shows how much of a friendship they have despite what Hana thinks. Secret event unlocked, I'm sure Tama would say

Of course, Kamu was very cute as well. Its almost as if she could see the Sensei event coming.

This show... this is the show I like to call "Help Help, I'm trapped in a pile of thirsty lesbians!" and while normally I'm not the biggest fan of shows where that is the main draw, I kinda respect it how it can be brazen about it. And a lot of it is down to Eiko shenanigans. Watching a harem protagonist from third person in a way.

But back to the MC and the main "plot", while it's not terribly deep, the bits about social anxiety at having to deal with new situations and new people and dreading them really hit close to heart, so there is meat here other than shipping and cute girls being cute.

Also, I LOVE how despite all Eiko's "powers" and seductress shenanigans sensei keeps brutally shutting her down. Sensei could have easily been just another easy conquest (played a dating sim for couple minutes, already has relationship with all girls maxxed out whaaat?) but instead here she is one target that Eiko's teenage level ploys don't work and sensei sees right through them and keeps putting her down.
I'm also kinda debating to myself was she out of line during her underwear putting down. On one hand doing what she did was out of line. On the other hand, that was kinda perfectly right response to Eiko's shit. It took roughly control of the situation from Eiko, therefore reasserting who is the senior here, and drove in the point that teach doesn't find her sexually appealing with her comment that her choice is fine (and knowing Eiko it was probably a conversation starter).

So yeah, while I can't say this is terribly it does have some interesting bits to it, and if all that fails it's a good riffing material given all the hints and wordings (sister sauce etc.).

I can feel where Hana is coming from a bit in episode 8. Can't imagine that I'd talked to the vast majority of my classmates during high school or other levels of education. Not surprising that outside of her friends she doesn't socialize a crazy amount. Not a bad thing to introduce her to various people in the class, but also not a bad thing to just let Hana take her time.

At least she is making efforts as she goes. Not incredibly fast, but she's getting there.

Along with that of course we get silly bits with the girls getting swimsuits. Was honestly fun to see Tama go into scary mode again . A point I didn't think about that everyone would be Eiko's enemy when it comes to that 'urban legend'. Plus I did like them actually showing how silly it looked with the group all stepping into the changing stall to check out Hana's swimsuit.

Another silly and amusing episode.

Tama seems to talk a fair amount about nudism. Exhibitionism fetish perhaps? But seriously that's a freaky swimsuit and it doesn't really do her any big favors. Just makes it clear that her bra's purely for show. Even KAMURI is more stacked than Tama!

Yeeah, the beggining bit with Hana's crippling lack of social graces was TOO REAL, TOO FUCKING REAL.
At least she is aware and trying to take steps to rectify it, coz while being sociable comes naturally to some (most) of people, it doesn't at all come like that to people like Hana or me. Every single even most meaningless social gesture is a fucking STRUGGLE against your own stupid mind.

Tama's swimsuit: Yup, utterly impractical, but just SCREAMS Tama.

Watched episode 7 and 8:

On 7. I'm surprised on how Eiko react when she saw that sensei is wearing the accesory that she created. So Eiko likes people who thinks she's not cute?

On 8. The obligatory fanservice swimsuit episode .. and looks like it will extend into episode 9. Everyone looked cute. ^^
