I was reading through earlier parts of this thread to see reactions to earlier chapters of Vivid and Force, when I ran across a link to a complete subtitled version of Strikers Soundstage X. Since I had never listened to it before, I went ahead and did so.

Well, it's still longer than it was originally. So maybe she had it short in StrikerS, grew it out for SSM4, cut it some for Vivid, and let it grow out again for Force.

I don't recall Hayate having longer hair in ViVid, so I don't see the big deal.

Agito and Rein look pretty good in their large forms. In that last picture I remember with Signum and the flowers, Agito looked a bit creepy. Now she looks more like a spunky tomboy!

Well, that's mostly because this is the first time we actually see Hayate in Vivid.

It's just a consistency thing. Not that big a deal, really, just something that makes me go 'huh, now she's got short hair again.'

That page was a StrikerS flashback though. But yeah, you're right, hairchanges aren't anything strange, and with magic anything becomes possible there.

She also appeared on page 7 of chapter 1 of Vivid, with hair length similar to what it is here, so no inconsistencies yet.

I actually have trouble recognizing her in Force. I'm usually a big fan of longer hair, but somehow Hayate's doesn't work for me when long.

What strikes me most is that Hayate is the only one of the aces for who the Vivid style cuteness actually works. Nanoha and Fate both look forcedly cutified, but Hayate looks genuinely cute.

I agree. Maybe it's the short hair that makes it more suitable...

EDIT: Then again Hayate's always been on the 'cute' end of the spectrum, where as Nanoha and Fate are more on the 'sexy' side of things.

1. Meet up with the rest of the cast

2. Kick starting the plot

Or both. Either way it will be awesome.

Just like what they did with Ix, I guess?

Though, I hope they will be given a bigger role than that. Even being combat commentators is fine.

On another topic, I've just realized that the tournaments in Vivid seems a bit different than shounen tournaments, what with it's focus on group battles instead of one-on-one combat. I like it though
