Hi, my name is Kyuusai, and I'm addicted to the Bokurano OP.

I have played it countless times. I time my scrub back to the beginning after its over so the beat isn't broken, in order to fool other listeners so that they don't realize I'm such a nerd that I'm playing a TV intro repeatedly.

I seem to be the only one addicted to the ED more so than the OP...

They both compliment each other very well, though. The OP sets us up for something epic and full of wonder, and the ED brings us back down to earth by reminding us of the price of it. Brilliant.

Same here. I had it in my head for three days even though I wasn't listening to it anymore (because I feared it would never disappear

Heh, so many people have said it already but Uninstall is easily one of my favorite songs this season so yeah "me too"!

If there's one major thing the producers/staff got right in this anime adaptation (I actually haven't seen anything wrong with ep 1 yet) I'd say it was choosing uninstall for the OP. So much emotion conveyed and it only gets better to watch and hear as the story progress.

Was Ushiro (Jun) in the OP at all or did I just miss him completely?

And, well...I can't identify the kid running in the sunset but the stance looks really girly (I thought it was Maki at first but then she has a shot at the end, then i think it's Machi but...well...something seems off about the picture if that is indeed her) to be him. And I don't think they'd put him in a running pose anyway...but then i think i see glasses...........

Can't seem to be able to properly tell who some of the four kids who first appeared are either...cept for maybe the one who ran in front (looks like anko to me but i could be wrong).

One more candidate for the OP addiction support group here.

I really liked episode two, I got excited about big robot mecha battles very rarely but this time I couldn't help it, Zearth literally kicking the crap out of the enemy was a cool scene. And I was expecing the final twist in the episode due to some spoilers I had read on another forum but the way Waku just fell was quite surprising in itself.
Now, if only I could actually learn the names of all the characters...

Can't wait to see more of them, though.

Would people please start to label there spoilers involving Manga --- there are some pretty huge spoilers from the manga that have been mentioned. I've read most of the manga so i'm okay, but there are a lot of new people here to the series who don't want to be spoiled.

Very interesting show, to say the least. It being much darker than most other shows of this season really piqued my interest. I mean, judging by what little has been shown, it seems the big ass giant machine's power supply is the life of the pilot, and God knows what chaos that would bring these 4th graders once they realize the pattern. I can't wait and am looking forward to that moment when hell breaks loose; must be my psycho-moe tendencies and the fact that I still think that Infinite Ryvius is still one of the best anime shows ever.

And is the manga it's based upon done? Because I was under the impression it isn't, which unfortunately means that it's going to go unfinished. And God knows when we'll see a proper conclusion if that was the case *cough*NaruTaru*cough*... >_>

I gotta agree though, the OP is really good, as it flows very well. The song itself IMO is easily the best of the season, although for me the vocal performance would have to settle for second best because Lena Park's rendition of Raise Me Up still gives me the shivers everytime I hear it.

Perhaps this scene is an indication that she's the last one standing? Narutaru ended on a similar note with the entire world destroyed and only two people left alive.

Spoiler for manga: As the way Dung Beetle explained it I always got the impression losing universes where completely obliterated. Doesn't make much sense 'pruning' universes if you leave a standard post-apocalyptic wasteland with some survivers. If I had to guess I'd say she's looking at the debris from one of Zearth's past battles but to be honest I have no idea.

Spoiler for Ep 2 Thoughts: Seriously though, I wasn't expecting that at the end of 2. The guy just knocks him over? The hell? Then he goes and slaps his sister. Like that helps his situation in saying it was an accident. I already hated the kid with glasses in the beginning, but now I don't see how anyone will even want to talk to him. What's interesting though is that kid felt more like the 'leader' of the group and they already killed him off. Now who is going to be the next pilot? More over, who's gonna put 'ol glasses in his place? Interesting to see how the story pans out, lots of explaining to do. To the world and those people taking care of them.

Codex Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004	Spoiler for Episode 2: Wow ... that was so sudden and understated. Poor Ryoma -- I mean, Jun ... that must have been seriously shocking. And the drama builds up as the kids have to keep the dark secret. Overall, a good episode. The quiet beginning was nice ... we get a sense of how each kid is reacting to the prospect of having to pilot the robot. I'm a bit confused though. What exactly is the situation they're in? Is the older guy talking to the police officer their teacher? Is it a school-supervised outing, and if so, how could Ryo-- er, Jun bring his little sister? Or was he forced to bring her, by his parents (or guardians)? It would be interesting to finally learn the reason behind their tense relationship. There's probably more than meets the eye here as well ... perhaps some sort of resentment intermixing with the role of an elder brother. Spoiler for Speculations: So Kokopelli's down, followed by this guy. I recall the translation to the promo saying that there were 15 enemy robots as well? So if one pilot goes down per enemy, you'd have one left standing in the end. Probably Kana, since she isn't bound by contract? I wonder how much drama there will be when a kid's turn to pilot comes -- and he/she refuses. Maybe the enemy mech goes on a rampage, destroying a town or something before the pilot is finally dragged kicking and screaming into the pilot's seat >_<. (EDIT) Yep, watching the ED again, there must be some really weird issues with Jun, for him to be sitting on a kiddie chair like that. Maybe he's routinely humiliated at home or something ... Such as Chizuru Honda's baby and Masamitsu Seki and Misumi Tanaka and Kako getting killed before/in battle. As for people that didn't want to pilot, only really Kako didn't want to. The others were clearly reluctant, but he was completely terrified.

Everything, while not exactly light hearted wasn't making you believe the pilot would just die. Things were pretty close with a mountain getting vaporized, and it getting a bit serious. Though now with a city mostly knowing about giant robots it could be tough. Can't believe the guy just gets shoved off and that's it. It wasn't exactly a massive push, though considering how high they are I'd be sitting not wanting to move at all. Now usually I'd say the guy killed him, but something was odd. Right when he gets tapped his facial expression gets strange. Now it could be "shock I'm falling to my death", but it felt like something else. After all for a guy that was spending the episode yelling into the wind numerous times, he just silently falls to his death? Just what is going on here? Does every pilot die after getting victory or something? Frankly we seem to have more questions coming from this than answers. A really intense finish.
