Just came to my mind...

Have we seen Ichika use other IS units? If he really is the male that can use that machine, he can do it, right?

I'm speculating that Ichika can only use the Byakushiki and nothing else, since our supergenius bunny here tweak it specifically for him.

If it's a generic IS, he should be able to use it. But if its another personal IS or even their gear, he's locked out since it's coded just for their pilot and/or anyone with the 'admin' passwords for the unit (usually the maintenance and programming crew). That's why Char had to unlock the gun so he could use it.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.

He did use Uchigane, but Yamada messed up and got KO'd without him doing anything.

As for Char's gun, it because it was borrowed from active unit, so technically it was not part of his inventory, he just use the connection between cores to download it so to speak.

The reason they don't randomly use somebody else's IS from my personal speculation is that it messes up the evolution data of the IS.

That's a high school or junior high uniform, so my best guess would be between 14-16 years of age. And Ichika being 4 or 5.

i hope if the LN series continue, we get a lot more male IS pilot that are actually, like one can pilot multiple IS units, thus making him unpredictable. & a male IS pilot that is a master stragestist

Now what you say is borderline impossible...

What makes IS as IS is because Ichika, that's the idea of it. IS is one of the pioneer anime that focuses on one male who can do things that only allowed to females. If you put an male pilot in IS other than Ichika, then the core idea of IS is ruined and then maybe think we should just animate every OC-insert story in FF.net, there are a ton of them out there.

... Do you think that Cores could get over the Y2K by themselves? Depends on their language, I think. Heck, in my fic, the cores are also the first to truly solve Year 2038 problem (which is also Ichika's birthday, the year of dragon).

It was only a problem for any computer systems developed prior to the 1980's (IBM 360/VS Mainframes, which nowadays only large banks and government would use), which didn't have enough memory space for four digits (EG YY instead of YYYY). And the worst thing that could have happened with Y2K was some peoples' long service leave pay wouldn't be paid out (and it did happen to some Flight Attendants and Pilots for the client I was working for an Airline company, but that was an easy fix). Any computer that can't get over the Y2K problem probably won't be able to handle the basic stuff that an IS needs to do. Even the older-generation mobile phones wouldn't have a problem with a Y2K issue. A Core will not have that problem at all.

10??? No no no, Ichika would only be 2 years old at the time. Remember, she's 8 years older than him. I'd say she's around... 13-14 here.

She's 12 in the picture. According to the doujin by Yuuki Homura, from which the picture is based from, Ichika was 4 at the time.
