"her".

In fact, her last manga was a shoddy Ranma 1/2 wannabe of loli girl highschool Chinese-martial art slapstick romance-comedy with hardly any plot and shoddy endings. Basically Ranma 1/2000.

She either got really good, or her editor is godly.

Well...basically in the manga the first time she showed up she looked older (there are moments where she looks to be in her late twenties)...the Mangaka's editor warned her that she looked like an old hag so Shinobu-sensei started to progressively draw her to look younger and cuter (eventually looking closer to Alibaba's age, if not younger). The anime however corrected this right off the bat and drew her to look young from her first appearance.

Defaq? She looked older, alright, but not like an old hag, lol.
In fact she doesn't look much younger too me later. Cuter and more innocent - yeah, younger - 1-2 year max.

But the thing is, she keeps getting cuter and cuter.

EDIT: meh, no matter how much I edit, even with spoilerfree, it's still inheritently non-anime material. I'll refrain.

Actually, the problem is getting indebted in foreign owned currency, be it paper or gold. Get indebted in either and you are screwed.

That is why smart modern governments use floating fiat currencies with a policy of not taking on any foreign debt. It prevents you from being currency-manipulated by bankers and foreign countries. (it doesn't stop other stupidity though)

Btw, the anime made no sense whatsoever. In a real squeeze scenario, the value of the foreign currency used is driven up (thereby making it more difficult to get hold of currency to pay back the debt). Inflation as described in the anime would just hurt the creditors who lent the money and people with fixed salaries in said money.

Edit: It is possible that what it was meant to describe is the value of foreign goods being driven up due to the local economy collapsing. But the inflation in that case would happen in a local fiat currency, not a foreign owned one. (thereby making it more difficult to use the local currency to pay the foreign debt)

But in this case, the Kou empire and "the Organization" behind it don't care much about profit. Their aim is owning Balbadd ( Literally ) to weaken Sindria's economy ( Since most of Sindria's good have to go through Balbadd first ).

Regardless, this arce once again prove that bankers are evil!!!!

Shinobu.. thanks for the correction..

I think either way... her own growth or the editor's gentle hand.. we got a great result as an audience.

After reading Bakuman, I think it's probably her editor is the main reason for her "level up" ^^.

Today, I took sometime to read back all the chapters. When I reach the part that Ren Kouha killed those bandit, I think his attack look kinda like Zengar Zonvolt's final Zankantou attack ( From Super Robots War ). I wonder if anyone thought the same ^^

Iono, she could have been handled the concept by the magazine and she had to work with it the best she can. It happens alot actually, especially in the tier-two magazines (and Sunday sometimes). Sumomomomomomo was actually slightly above average for romantic comedy, as in it is actually funny. She knew her current editor for some long-ass time (before Sumomomomomomo), so it might be that she finally gets the freedom to do what she wants (with input from him) instead of him "leveing her up".

Note that she jumped magazines, so my read on the situatiion is that Ohtaka only managed to serialize in Sunday right after GanGan..because Sumomomo momomo is a moderate success and her links to the editor.
