I read in another forum that Ken Akamatsu will finish the manga after two more arcs. I don't know where that person got that information though but I hope it's true

It's still possible that all those skipped development will appear later in flashback. Akamatsu probably doing all this time-skip stuff to make Asuna's departure more emotional. Other possibility is that he was criticized of having too many 'fillers' after magic world arc and he probably just want to end the remnant of MW arc with Asuna's departure (then continuing with flashback on what happened during the time skip).

...Then again, I don't think it would happen either w. I guess I should just wait and see

You guys do realize that the target is a ten-year old child. Did you seriously expect Asuna to go postal on him Naru-style? What kind of message would that send to the readers?

Well... Negi was sent flying more than once by Asuna during the whole series. That said, context was obviously different since it was mostly during magic business so.

That makes me think the Asuna hiberating thing was actually a last minute change to end the manga sooner.

lol, from that sentence only it looks like KA will jump again 100 years in just 3 chapters

oh well, the sign was there. but I really dissapointed AK threw away all the flags. Is it got axe or AK got bored we could only guess. My guess is he got bored?

She did strike somebody upside the head, but the target was unintended, and she only lets out a snarky observation to Ayaka's, Setsuna's and Negi's... embarrassing states instead of letting loose some punishment. That's a nice bit of character progression right there- hell, even Naru kept punishing Keitaro even after they got married! The most touching point of this chapter though has to be that entire riverside scene. 4 pages of Akamatsu using the same background panels, but changing the details as it progresses in a slice-of-life manner. Seeing the entire scene unfold made me sad for some reason, and made the entire ordeal even more poignant. Sad to see Asuna go, though I'm sure she'll back in the story eventually. I also have to agree that those panels showing Asuna and Negi standing by the riverbank were the most moving. I don't know if it's just me, but at this point I don't really care about who wins harem wise, if it ever gets resolved. I find most of the girls pretty likable and in a sense suitable to Negi in their own ways. Although I think it would be out of character for Negi to do this, I admit I think it'd be funny if the series ended Negi fathering children with all of the girls.
