Zeta is my personal favorite, gritty with a good showing of both sides' desperation in the war.
Classic Mobile Suit Gundam is second, Char's the man and Amuro shapes up nicely through the episodes ZZ is third for me. It is good, but as a sequel to Zeta the comedy in the first half comes out of left field, then it shift back to the darker side of things where it really becomes good.

Turn A Gundam is the best for me.
You either love it alot or you can't get past the mustache, which is a pity for many. It has the best character development and interaction in Gundam, undoubtedly one of the best stories of the series.

Tough choice. Probably the 08th MS Team. 08th has the most awesome fight in any Gundam series I've seen (Norris vs the 08th MS team and 3 guntanks). In general, I like that the protagonist is not in some super powered MS, and he isn't even the best pilot in the show. It's very much a grunt-centric show.
I really like 0080. Zeta, and Char's Counterattack too. 0080 is a huge deviation from normal Gundam series, and has the most powerful message of all of the Gundam shows I've seen. Zeta doesn't have any one thing I can say is standout about it, but it sticks in my mind nonetheless. CCA is an intense ending to the Amuro and Char rivalry, and easily has my favorite overall soundtrack. I like most Gundam shows come to think of it. Wing I find a bit dull (too many one sided fights). G Gundam is just plain bizarre, not that that's a bad thing, but it's nothing like a normal Gundam show. X is pretty good. V is depressing but good. F91 really deserved a series instead of a movie. Turn A I still have a few episodes to finish one of these days. Seed is decent, but it isn't willing enough to kill characters. I couldn't stand Destiny. The original MSG is really dated looking and has catchy but annoying music. It also has some really awesome moments and interesting characters. 0083 had some great action, but I wanted to punch two of the characters in the face. The second half of ZZ was great, and Moon-moon never happened (thank you brain bleach). MS Igloo doesn't have Gundams in it, not that that's necessarily a bad thing if you're a OYW fan. Seeing the Battle of Loum animated was awesome, even if they really changed it from the literature about the battle. |

In order from "liked the most" to "liked the least." I've never met a Gundam I didn't like at least a little. ^^;

My best Gundam series are:
-Zeta Gundam: Interesting story, great mecha design, and cool characters -Turn A Gundam: original mecha design, the story is great, characters are engaging, nice and interesting! -Gundam Seed: Good characters, correct mecha design, cool soundtrack.
