Enjoyable first episode not sure if I keep watching this, the harem aspect of the series (we already annoying obnoxious perverted best male friend and I'm guessing the four girls in the ending will have a thing for the main character) will most likely drag this series down to unwatchable territory.

Chu2Koi 01 - Pain is Power
I do like the premise, and the idea of Maaya Uchida starring in another show about delusions attracted me from the get-go. (It's certainly easier to work jokes around than Sankarea). K-ON! still remains my favorite KyoAni show, and if this one is going to affect me half as deeply, it will require a convoluted series of circumstances and timing that I'm not sure can be replicated. But enough about myself, I'll look at the show. Sure, it's fake, but the universe that Rikka is creating in her mind actually sounds like a fairly interesting place. And she's passionate about it, so I find myself relating more to her than to Yuuta. If you're going to be someone people are talking about, it's best to be interesting. The gag density is very high, and the animation looks nice, of course. I think it's going to make for an enjoyable show. I want to see what the supporting cast has in store. |

Hmmm they should just make a damn full metal panic anime next season already.
As for this show and original content. May seem so, they just took characters from many series dropped them together in the blender, added some random story and *background* and made a series. We will see if it becomes some popular series or another fluffy fluffy moe moe stuff. I kinda liked all the funny antics where MC was psychically abusing the girl in a fun way. Just hope it won't become next moeblob show, like most of previous Kyoani releases that they did recently.

Many posts have been deleted for being off topic. Remember that this is a thread to discuss an anime, not the studio behind it. If you wish to discuss anything about Kyoani, please do so in the corresponding thread.

I would agree. From the anime title, it is clear that the anime is about chunibyo. Since both Yuuta and Rikka share the same form of chunibyo, I would expect the other characters to be affected by the other forms of chunibyo. However, from the anime's premise, chunibyo is not a mental illness, but rather a common phase of life people go through. I would liken it to a teenager's rebellious stage in life, or a 40-something's mid-life crisis. Quote:
